It was over 90 degrees here today and I need some cooler shoe options for LO! She is not yet walking, but cruising. Any good & cute recommendations - that aren't like $50? I already looked on SKR and Nordstrom. I'm not a fan of the Stride Rite rainbow colors. Picked up a pair of Saltwaters, but suspect they won't be good for when she starts walking.

@shopaholic: we literally wore them everyday. Let her get them wet while she's wearing them and they will mold to her feet. I even ordered some for myself this year

I really liked Robeez shoes when my kids were just starting to walk. Any hard bottom soles made it hard to walk and they would fall down more. The soft soles for early walkers were perfect and I even washed the sandals when they got really dirty and still faired well between both boys who are almost 3 years apart. Pedipeds are great as well and were both of my boys' first walking shoes.

@erwoo: I ordered a pair of Robeez on Nordstrom. Funny thing is a couple months ago, the worker at Stride Rite told me they have stopped making Robeez.

@shopaholic: super cute! We rotated between two pairs of Stride Rite sandals and a pair of Crocs last summer. I'm not a fan of Crocs, but they must be really comfortable b/c she loves them. I think the Stride Rites offered the most support when she was really starting to walk.

@shopaholic: Really? I find that surprising b/c they are known for their soft suede soles. Here is their website: http://www.myrobeez.com/ From their website it looks like they are still in business and have so many more cute styles now. If there's a Nordstrom Rack near you I recommend checking it out. Their selection is really random but I've found numerous pairs of branded shoes for my boys there. They outgrow shoes so fast so I rarely buy them shoes at full price. And mostly b/c I like to buy them around 5 pairs per size...usually one dressier, one sneakers, one sandals (Keens), crocs, and one slippers. Sometimes I get more. See why I can't justify the full price shoes?

@erwoo: I KNOW! I was so surprised when I went into Stride Rite. But he showed me a different pair of shoes he said replaced Robeez when K outgrew her first ones. Thanks for the link (he must have been clueless!) I'm excited to receive the ones I just ordered for her. I totally hear you on the many shoes in each size! I just went on a bit of a binge at Nordstrom AND Nordstrom Rack in the past 2 days. Need to make sure we have options!
