We used Avent bottles - only 4 parts (5 if you count the cover) and very simple. Easy to wash.

I hated the Doc Brown parts too, but of course it was the one that LO2 actually took to. And then I found the dishwasher rack specially made for Doc Brown parts and life was changed. I'll add to the Avent supporters!! BUT we use the natural ones without the ring so just the bottle and nipple to clean! It's a breeze

We use the Nuk simply natural. We don't have a dishwasher so everything gets washed by hand. These are so easy to wash. I also use the foaming babyganics bottle soap.

We used the Playtex w/drop-ins. It is easy to clean - just the bottle, nipple and ring. We liked them!

My doula recommended those basic playtex dropins actually! (we never used them)

I tried all sorts of fancy bottles, and it turned out that DS loved the super-basic medella ones (the expensive anti-colic nipple thing was a huge waste). BONUS: if you pump, you can use the same bottles for pumping and eating, and it will reduce the number of things you have to wash every day.

Comotomo Three parts not including the lid. The bottles are wide enough you don't need a special brush to scrub them. Super easy to clean.

We used the Playtex nurser bottles when we traveled or were on the go a lot and didn't have access to a dishwasher. I secretly wanted to use them at home too, but it felt wasteful when we had access to a dishwasher.

For everyday we used glass Life Factory bottles. They were dishwasher safe and super easy to clean since it's just the bottle the nipple and the ring. I also found the nipples to be sturdier; less prone to collapse and stood up better to LO once he got teeth.

@SweetiePie: Since you mentioned Playtex drop ins, I will say that I have been using Kiinde bottle system. Its amazing and I think I would use it even if I was using formula. I honestly don't even really give a thought about washing the parts. Its just the bottle nipples that need to be washed. Truly amazing.

Avent and playtex drop ins! But we started with dr browns for the newborn stage both times. (#1 I pumped for six weeks, #2 I mostly imply pumped to avoid getting mastitis- we got thrush after like two or three days, so neither kid was bf.) With #3 we want to do avent naturals glass bottles and combo feed. They came out with an even slower nipple so fingers crossed it'll work. I travel often for work so bottles have to happen even if I can take baby on some trips.

@SweetiePie: I liked them except when I ran out of liners or had to run to the store just for more. My dd did well on them. I don't love the new bending ones, I feel like the bending is unnecessary and more places for it to get dirty, but the clean factor of just changing the liner was nice. The markings on the sides aren't very accurate though bc it depends on how stretched the liner is. But overall they were definitely convenient and not much has for my dd. We started her on them at 4 months because as a newborn she really opened only wide enough for standard nipples.

@SweetCaroline: How did you heat them? I've only found bottle warmers or something that continuously heats the water to be a realistic solution long term, and the drop ins can't really go in there..although I did for awhile stick them *over* the bottle warmer. I don't know if that was a nono though. My mom used them too!

@sweetcaroline- "I don't know why more people don't use them"- I never recommend them because they're not good for the environment.

@SweetCaroline: oh! Interesting. I think it didn't fit in the warmer I had, or something like that. Will keep that in mind. I'm really hoping we can get baby 3 to like or at least get used to the avents.

@2littlepumpkins: We fill a plastic bowl with super hot water from the sink and stick the bottle in for a few minutes.
