My brother bought me one for Christmas one year & I LOVED it but it got lost when I moved....it sure was great though. I recommend it, especially if you're barefoot often.

I actually use sand paper on my heels and it works awesome. I walk barefoot nearly all the time (unless I'm going out in public) so my feet are very calloused.

@locavore_mama: I like the version with the longer handle, but my favorite thing is this! It's by microplane, it's like zesting your feet
and you don't have to buy refills

@mrs. bird: This is awesome and works well! I have one I bought from Target that has one end with a pumice stone and scrubbing brush and the other end with a microplane and a section for filing. Very useful and cheap (less than $5).

@locavore_mama: yay! if by 'sanitize' you mean, shake over the trash and then store in a cabinet, then yes! if you mean actually clean it, no
i'm gross like that. it i bled on it or was going to share it with anyone else (eww, i guess if mr. bird really wanted to use it i'd let him, then it'd get soaked in alcohol), then i would, but it's just my same old dirty feet that use it, so i'm not worried

I have an egg ped but feel like it's kind of too rough... It feels like the calluses come back worse? Maybe it's just me.

DH uses one and LOVES it! He has super rough/callousy feet. Like slice your leg up if he grazed you with his heel. Ouch and ew!
