Nope, they congratulated me on my new addition to my family. The kicker, the first sentence says... "There's nothing more amazing than bringing a new life into the world." Yeah, I know. Next time, why don't you stab me a few more times in the heart. Thanks a lot!
I have no idea why Shutterfly thought I was pregnant or had just given birth.

A large fertility clinic in my area just sent out a Happy Mother's Day message to the wrong group... (they sent it to their current patients rather than their success stories). Ouch. I hate that particular clinic, and this is just adding fuel to my fire.

As an aside, I received this email too. It was actually sent to my old college email (that is forwarded to my new "grown-up" email). I am thinking it's a glitch in the system - I haven't used that email in 5+ years... and I'm certainly not signing up for anything at Shutterfly using it.
Are you planning to reply to Shutterfly? I considered complaining to their customer service.
ETA: Obviously I am a slower typer than everyone else... Mr. Bee was able to research the issue before I could even get my response sent! I obviously over think my posts...

@bluestriped bee: I thought maybe it was because I put a wrong due date on some form, but now I think maybe they just sent out a wrong email to a random group(s). Really lame on their part!

I saw some people post that on FB this morning -- all of them said they definitely were not expecting! I got it, too. I'm assuming they just sent it out en mass ...and in error.

@septca: I saw that, too. I get emails from that clinic, too. Never really read them, but I saw their apology email Monday and read it and saw they sent Happy Mother's Day emails to the wrong "group" of women on Sunday. Horrible!

OMG, Babycenter is the WORST for this. I signed up when I got pregnant the first time, and I don't know if it is because they have so many different marketing lists, but I could not get myself unsubscribed from all their e-mails for over a year despite numerous requests. And the emails were always like "your baby is 6 months!" or targeted to where your baby should be in development. It drove. me. nuts. I finally stopped getting them after I put a bunch of different blockers on my e-mail account. So sorry that happened to you.

@gingerbebe: I completely agree! I kept getting emails about my baby's development. A really disheartening way to begin the day. I was FINALLY able to opt out. It would take if it was on mobile.

I assumed it was left over targeting from before I miscarried when I was signed up for what to expect emails and what not.

A happily childfree-by-choice friend of mine got the email too and laughed about it on facebook this morning. Now being a part of a community like this where I am more "in tune" with women experiencing fertility issues; I cringe at errors like this. So thoughtless on the part of shutterfly!

Got it too! At first I was trying to figure out how they knew I was pregnant. Then I saw it on my "spam" email as well and was really confused.

Heh...I emailed them back....I'm sure nobody will read it but we will see what they say 
The fact that the e-mail came on the day I had my meeting with the nurse to talk about starting my IVF injections on Friday, put me a little more in the mood to respond than I normally would be.

I got it too and I was a little hurt at first as well. But it appears it was a technical glitch and tons of people got it. I actually send emailers to large distribution lists for my job and i know exactly how something like this can happen!
