i am not surprised. i was more surprised when she picked jef over arie.

@birdofafeather: Agree! I never bought into Emily and Jef as a legit couple. To me, it seemed really, really obvious that she would go for a more alpha male type. Also, she sounds like kind of a beast, so I'm not sure that I care so much about her future happiness.

SAD. I did find him a weird choice, but I didn't like Arie either. Wouldn't it be funny if she ended up dating and going for Arie, a la Jason/Molly??

OH I heard on the radio that Arie had dinner with Courtney (Ben's pick from last season of the Bachelor, they JUST broke up too)!!! Gross and gross together...

On a happier note though, Ashley and JP's wedding is going to be an ABC special!! I guess Ali and Roberto's was supposed to be, too...

I didn't really watch that season of the bachelorette but of the couple of episodes I did watch I liked Shawn the best. I agree with pp that something about Emily just seems off.

A big WOOT!! to Ashley and JP's wedding airing as an ABC special. I rooted for JP that entire season.

Out of like, 20 seasons, only 3 couples have made it to marriage- Trista and Ryan, Molly and Jason (and he didn't even pick her initially, so technically they don't count), and JP and Ashley (IF they get married, which I hope they do because they are sooo cuuute). It's reality tv, it's for our entertainment, and as someone who has watched almost every season, you can tell from the beginning "The One" that the lead will pick if it's a strong connection in the case of the 3 couples who have worked out. With Ashley's season, it was SO obvious that it was JP from the very beginning. Same with Trista.
I think the reason the rest of these couples haven't worked out is because "The One" just isn't there for them to pick from. I bet if they could throw in the towel and say "No one! I pick no one!" most of them would halfway through. But they get paid big bucks to be there, so of course they're going to finish.
I never thought Jef and Emily would last- she came across so wishy-washy on the show. You could tell she didn't have a clue what she wanted. She would have been better off with Trophy Wife Ryan, haha, at least then she could have sat back and been treated like a princess, which she totally seems like that type of girl.

I emailed the perez hilton article to DH. We was really rooting for them and he made sure to tell me when he got home how upset he was about it lol He thinks its all Emilys fault

I haven't watched this show in forever but I wanted to chime and say that I saw on People.com the other day that Molly and Jason are pregnant. But that might be old news already...

@Mrs Checkers: yea, I was a big fan of that season but I was rooting for Chris L so bad.

Yeah I totally thought they would work too! They didn't seem to match up, but I kinda thought maybe it was an "opposites attract" type thing. I always loved his quirkiness! She, however, seems too high maintenance and like she is really just interested in the money. A lot of people said that early on, but I didn't believe it... Now I do!
