@LCTBQE: I'm not sure about the details but if you have a credit card almost all of them offer some kind of free credit monitoring now as a part of their services, so nearly everyone already has this even if they don't know about it or use it.
Who knows if we'll ever see the money, but for a potential $125 and like 2 minutes of my time, why not?

@LCTBQE: you have to agree that you already have credit monitoring. They offer you free credit monitoring from all 3 credit bureaus or if you already have credit monitoring you can choose the money. You don’t have to submit anything.

Yeah, 3 of my 4 credit cards monitor my credit score for me and I recently took the extra step of freezing my credit, so I opted for the money.
Eta: Amazon Chase card, Bank of America, and CapitalOne. So if you have cards with those providers, I bet you have monitoring too.

I almost would do it regardless just to stick it to equifax anyway. Although as with any class action I’m sure the real winners here are the lawyers.

@DesertDreams88: double check which credit bureau they are monitoring. They all have slightly different info. I have a card that monitors Transunion, one that does Equifax and another that does Experian.
