I'm trying to decide between the ergo original and organic. Is then only difference the nicer fabric on the organic? Is it worth the extra money?

I have the regular and have been happy with it for the last 16 months.

Nicer and softer fabric. I have the organic and like it but may not be worth the price difference for most people.

I went with the performance due to living in a hot climate. Its stiff but its gotten better over time.

I have the Ergo original and like it so far, but have no exposure to the organic.

I have the Ergo organic, but I bought it secondhand on HB. I don't have any experience with the original.

I have the organic and the only real difference I notice is how it washes. Because the Ergo Oragnic fabric is higher quality, softer, and had a more faded look, it looks better over time. I wash my Ergo A LOT (DD was a spitter), so this was important to me. For that same reason, I recommend going with a lighter color (i.e., not black) - not only does black so stains more easily, but it fades more in the wash.

I have the original because I got it on sale but would opt for organic if I buy again. DD likes to suck and chew (on the straps) and organic practices and applications are important to me.
