When on vacation, what kind of excursions do you like to do/have you done?
We are going on a trip and I know there are a lot of options for excursions. We will be at an all inclusive resort that also has activities. I know we won't be able to do everything (I want lots of relaxation time as well!), so we will have to choose wisely.

We usually choose 1. It breaks up the week, and can be a great highlight of a trip. Too many will stress you out though. So pick one, and have fun!

@Mrs. Microscope: yes, my main thing is relaxing by the pool and reading, sounds lame but with no kids? I want to just chill!

I've done them a few times..."private island" owned by the resort, boat excursions (catamarans), local driving tours, walking tours...things like that.
Otherwise, I like to visit the spa, if they have one. I typically will get at least a massage, possibly some other treatment.

Last time we really did this (our honeymoon), it was a 7 or 8 day trip and we did one big excursion (full day thing), one small one (half day), and also we both got massages. Then we also had a few days of being able to relax, read, hike, and hang out by the beach. I think we agreed that one more small excursion would have been nice.

We're kind of adrenaline junkies and like to do all sorts of stuff so we've gone ATV-ing, ziplining, swimming in bioluminescent bay, scaling waterfalls, etc.

I like zip-lining, snorkeling, party boat excursions to other islands, etc. Otherwise, a massage and laying by the beach while napping are my favorites!

We did a zip lining/horse back riding/ hot spring tour! It was awesome and almost a whole day.
We also did a jet ski tour on the same vacation. It was fun but kind of scary haha.

At our last inclusive for our belated honeymoon, none 
DH does not care at all, and I had already been to Mexico so I didn't need to do anything.
If I was going to let's say Costa Rica, I'd def be doing a few excursions!
