My husband and I are starting to look into the FET process to try for #2. I was wondering if anyone would mind sharing their protocol and experience with FET. We're trying to plan how much money to put into our Flex account for meds and stuff, but our appointment with the RE isn't until January, so we have to guess, pretty much. Any information you can share would be great! Thanks!

FETs are so much easier than an IVF cycle. I've gone through 4 so far at two different clinics. The price without meds at each was about $3100. I'm lucky to have prescription insurance coverage for my meds even though I don't have infertility coverage with my insurance, so I don't have a good idea of out of pocket costs for the medications. Maybe you can call a pharmacy and ask?
For each cycle I needed birth control, Lupron, some form of estrogen (I used Estrace or the generic version), and progesterone. One doctor prescribed me Endometrin, the other progesterone in oil injections.

@just_ju: I've heard there's a Lupron shortage and the price has gone up recently as a result.
ETA: when are you planning on cycling? We're going to try for #2 next year too.
I think we've decided on a May transfer.

@Mrs. Pickle: I've heard there are a few medications that are going through a shortage right now - Lupron, some form of estrogen, maybe another, I can't recall. Meds are so expensive to begin with, it really sucks when the price skyrockets.
I'm kind of hoping we'll start cycling asap, but we also kind of discussed planning for a May transfer as well (it would help us avoid really snowy months here in the Midwest). Maybe we'll end up cycling together

@just_ju I recently got my bfp for #2 via FET so happy to answer any questions. My protocol did not include any Lupron, just estrogen and progesterone injections and birth control for a few weeks prior to transfer. We also ended up doing PGD on our embryos after 2 bfns. It was expensive but we had insurance coverage for the IVF so we figured it was worth it for peace of mind especially after the 2 bfns. They were rough. Fet is fairly simple though overall compared to a fresh cycle. Good luck!

I did a FET in May and it was SO much easier! I think that I did BCP and Lupron and then estrace and Endometrin. I might have some extras of Endometrin if you need any. I know that I also have a ton of estrogen patches.
I really tried to get myself healthier in the few months leading up to my FET and I found the whole process so much less stressful than a fresh cycle. I limited my gluten and dairy intake, as well as upped good fats, like avocado and brazil nuts. I also drank a ton of POM juice the few days before and after my transfer. Good luck!!
