My five year old has pink eye...but we're struggling to get the drops in her. She understands that they'll help her eye feel better and she gets that they *have* to go in to work, but she is totally panicking about us putting them in. We showed her how we put drops in our eyes and blink them in. We gave her a little dropper to "practice" on a doll. We talked up how much it's going to help her feel better and how it's the medicine the doctor gave us to help her get well. I feel like we've set the stage...but to get the first dose in her this afternoon, it took my husband pinning her down while I held her eye open and put them in. Needless to say, it wasn't pretty and I'm not sure how we're going to get the next ones in later today.
Any tips or tricks to make this easier?
