Scary, but like the last mom said, they've read and talked about scenarios like this all the time. And yet, here she is, getting into a stranger's car with no hesitations. Sigh... How do you get it through their heads stuff like this is real???

I thought one of them would at least hesitate.. give a fake address or some other excuse, or at least coordinate with a friend so they're not alone. So scary and crazy!

@Alivoo01: my thoughts exactly - all of those parents were SURE their child would never do this - so freakin scary

I saw that... So scary. And that one where the father just held onto his daughter at the door made me tear up.
I cannot show DH this... He will lock up DD forever, lol!

@Mamaof2: Exactly! It's so easy to say, well MY kid would never do something like that... but those parents thought the same thing, and there the girls were, heading out alone to meet strangers off the internet. Terrifying.

@chopsuey: @Synchronicity: @Alivoo01: @mauxie: @snowjewelz: so, do you think a tween/teen boy would do the same thing?

@Mamaof2: My immediately thought was yes.. Why would they not meet some pretty girl, thinking that yeah it's a girl so there can't be anything shady...Or that they're guys so they can handle anything...

That made me cry. So, so scary. I can't believe that last girl got into that pedo-van.

The last one was definitely the most powerful I think. It's so scary. Could you imagine if they had been talking for 6 months? A year? They were only talking for a few days...

@Mamaof2: absolutely. More so because guys think they're invincible.
@mediagirl: me too. Has she not watch any TV?! White van?! Ugh.
I'm going to send this to my SIL and see if she want to show my 12 year old niece. My 12 year old nephew doesn't have social media yet but my niece has Instagram and snapchat. And she's actually one of only few of her friends who don't have Facebook! Ugh.

@Mamaof2: @snowjewelz: I agree. I think guys have a masochist view of I can handle anything so they too would agree and proceed.

The first girl o thought well at least she has some common sense. Obv not the best idea but at least met in daylight public park. Last girl, WTF, she needs to go to common sense school or watch episodes of catfish on repeat.

When we were about that age I had a friend do something like that. It's a very real and scary thing!

Makes me want to chip my kids with gps trackers. I honestly don't know what the solution is here. Apparently you can talk to your kids until you're blue in the face and they still make dumb decisions.

How freaking terrifying. They need to play this at middle schools or something.

@ShootingStar: This feels extreme but I feel like I don't want LO alone with devices that access the Internet/social media until she can drive and therefore would need to call us. No using her phone (or whatever it is in 10 years) unless she is in the same room as Mom or Dad and we can always look over her shoulder. I realize that's probably pretty unrealistic but I am at a loss.

@daniellemybelle: Well I was thinking we'd just monitor his use with software, but in the case of the last girl I'm not sure we would've picked up on it until too late. What are you going to do, maybe stop them from adding kids you don't know? I'm afraid too much restriction means they'll act out more.

After watching this the other day I told DH that DD is never leaving the house. Ever. Ever.

Have you seen the puppy one? It is terrifying...I know there is nothing that would keep DD away from a puppy...no matter what I tell her
