So DD is going as Cat Girl for Halloween and I want to do a simple cat face. She's only 21 months, so I want to keep it super simple. Should I buy face paint for it or just use eye liner from my own make up? I'd like to be able to wash it off easily. Any recs for face paint?

personally i would buy the facepaint because eyeliner is usually smudgey

Eyeliner. I think since it's just a simple cat face and you're not painting her entire face that it will be fine. We did eye liner on my lo at 2 and she was fine.

i used liquid eyeliner on olive last year when she was a cat. drew a nose and whiskers and called it a day. didn't smudge and was super easy.

@abbydabbydoodlebug: I just got black liquid eyeliner and a fat pink eye pencil from Rite Aid for $1.79 & 1.19, respectively. Wet & Wild was 40% off.
LO is going to be Daniel Tiger! I'm going to test it out on myself first to see how easy it is to remove.

@abbydabbydoodlebug: we've also used liquid eyeliner with great success! Very easily removed. I tried the facepaint crayons and they sucked. I figured, if it's gentle enough to go right next to my eyeball, it's gotta be gentle enough for my kid's face!
Here's what it looked like, but if I had to do it again, I'd do the nose like the picture below rather than just the triangle.

We've done liquid eye liner and face crayons. I could use more colors with face crayons, which was fun but it is a lot harder to get off.
