When we picked H up from school, I noticed that she had some spots on her face. Now it's gotten a bit worse and it looks like she's got some kind of blisters on the back of her throat in addition to more spots on her face. Does this look like HFM? Or something else? We are going to the ped tomorrow.

When T had it it looked more like blisters. And he was missssserable. Has she been sick?

@Ms. RV: @winniebee: No fever until tonight (she feels warm but won't let us take her temp. She also said her mouth hurt. The rash has spread to her diaper area. She's been really congested but her usual happy self.

Sounds like it. It actually wasn't bad until the 2nd day of the rash. Then it was awful. Hope it's not HFM or it is really mild!

Yes it does. My daughters both had it a month ago. My youngest looked exactly like this, and had a diaper rash as well. She didn't sleep at all the 3rd night. Hang in there and I hope she's doing ok.

@avivoca: her throat looks like strep - maybe its scarlet fever since she has a rash?

I'm so sorry!! We went through this over Christmas, and couldn't take her around other kids for 2 weeks! 
I hope she isn't too miserable!!

@littlejoy: She seems to be okay. She'll be out this week for sure, but she will have to go next week because my husband will be out of town and I have some things that I can't miss.

@avivoca: my son had a pretty mild case. Just one day of fever and then basically fine. Hopefully that's what your LO has too!

@Mrs Green Grass: She had a higher fever last night and it's low-grade right now, so I hope she has a mild case too! Her face looks terrible, poor thing, especially because things are starting to...ooze...

Ugh, I'm sorry. We just went through this... LO was out for a full week + a day of daycare. Oh, and then I got it. Holy crap, I have to say - it is really painful! The blisters on my hands felt like splinters and the throat pain was intense. I hope you don't get it!

@psw27: I was just coming on here to say the same thing. I caught it from my daughter and it was awful! The bottoms of my feet hurt so much.
@avivoca: Good luck! My daughter managed to get it twice when she was about one. I think after a week it was pretty cleared up.

Also, my LOs feet are still peeling from it - over a month later!
