I told myself I wouldn’t make the same mistakes this time as with my first (my son basically never took to the bottle and it really stressed me out, he would take basically 3 oz total in 10 hours and reverse cycle for the rest of the night) but here I am with an almost 4m old who is pretty much refusing the bottle!
She actually was supplemented too the first few days when I was waiting for my milk to come in! And did great. I tried my best to keep it up but it’s been once a week at most and many times unsuccessful.

I’ll be going back to work starting in may and she will have just turned 6m, so I know solids will help but I don’t want to rely on this. I just want a normal baby who takes a bottle (lol) while still nursing the rest of the time. I am happy to pump more before leave ends but I don’t want to have to pump st home when I go back to work! I also nurse frequently on demand and I am not into scheduling feeds (too much mind work)

Any tips? I’ve been trying to do the bottle earlier in the day when she’s in a happier mood and has taken a nice long nap. It’s just hard to be consistent since she doesn’t always take a long nap, and who knows what my 3yo is up to. I was thinking about pumping during my breakfast and giving her a bottle when she wakes up from her morning nap. And trying to put her down for next nap without nursing. When I go back to work, I’ll be gone from 2-midnight and I am so stressed about imagining my husband manage both the kids. He can’t even hold the baby for 15 min while I make dinner before she starts screaming and I get stressed and snap st everyone. Help!!!
