Well, it's that time again -- Father's Day 2012, where I wrack my brain trying to figure out what in the heck to buy my father. He's almost impossible to shop for. He doesn't do anything really or like stuff that comes in any of those gift guides. He's not a big sports fanatic. He doesn't golf, fish, hunt, workout, grill, or drink a whole lot. He's not a foodie. He's not into experiences like cooking classes or anything. We live in Florida, and him and my step mom live in a really senior-centric area, so basically, no shows or nightlife of any kind. He's a big history buff but I've tried buying him history books in the past and it eventually came out that he never reads them. Basically, he watches really old war movies on TV and falls asleep 20 minutes in. He's 67, so he's even still fairly young. He's not really into music, or board games, or art, etc. etc. etc.

He just got married a couple of weeks ago and we bought them a mini-moon weekend with a hotel on the beach, restaurant gift card, etc. So that's been done.

I was thinking about some sort of food of the month club, though. I found a salami of the month club via Martha, and some other weird food club. Can anybody recommend something really cool like this? He does like to eat.

Or any other ideas? He's just a huge stumper.

On another note, we have our first ultrasound next Wednesday and if all goes well, we're going to tell our parents. So I'm thinking since Father's Day is just a few days later, we'll have him and my step mom over and cook dinner, and then we'll give him some sort of grandpa gift and tell him the bean wanted to help him celebrate Father's Day, too
