History: I have been tracking my cycle for 2 months and both months I have ovulated on CD 12 and confirmed with temp increases and OPKs. This past cycle my period came on day 27, it was light spotting, one day of medium/light bleeding and nothing. I never took a HPT because I got AF. Normally I'm 3 - 4 days with 2 days of medium bleeding. For fun, I POAS with an OPK yesterday and got pretty close to positive OPK, may have been positive but I had very diluted U. This morning, I took an OPK again and it was definitely positive. Issue is I'm only CD6. Has anyone ovulated super early like this? Do I have bad OPKs????

It is *possible* to surge more than once per cycle... sometimes a body will gear up to O (hence the + OPKs) and then just, not. But I think that's pretty rare. Much more common, given all of your factors, that your + OPK is showing HSG in your system. Which means... break out the HPT.
What other symptoms are you having? How is your CM? Chest? Energy? Cramping?

Definitely take a HPT! The other thing that can cause weird results on an OPK is PCOS (because you can have higher LH as your "base" LH) but if you're ovulating regularly I don't think that's what's going on with you.

@septca: I have PCOS so I've had multiple + OPKs in a cycle, but definitely not as early as CD6! Getting a positive OPK CD6 is pretty crazy!

That seems really early to get a +OPK, even though I know you usually O on the early side....but that said, there could be other factors at play. I personally have had several cycles where I got +OPKs like a week or two apart (though charting I confirmed they were anovulatory cycles though), so there's always a chance your body could just be gearing up to O early, and then actually O closer to your usual day.
I'll also chime in to say POAS, because you are definitely in the time frame where an OPK could be + due to pregnancy!

I don't trust those cheap tests. Stick to the digitals OPK.

Do it!!! I've also had a + OPK that early but I took Provera a few weeks before that. My RE was shocked that I was about to ovulate (confirmed by ultrasound).

I would definitely take an HPT. I took one the morning of my BPF (no HPTs in the house so I had to make do) and it was super positive. Good luck!!!
