@matador84: have you heard of Endless Alphabet? It's free on Android for A-C words but it does cost something (not sure what) on Apple. M loves it and even though she has only played it a few times, already knows what the app looks like and how to find it. It's a lot of fun. http://www.macworld.com/article/2039763/review-your-kids-will-love-learning-with-endless-alphabet-for-ios.html

@mediagirl: Endless Alphabet is amazing!! That's how Olive learned to sight read the alphabet on her own. We were so surprised!
Their followup Endless Reader is also great...

Oooo did you notice there's now an Endless Numbers? We're not quite there yet because they do some simple arithmetic but Little Man cackles at poking the eyes open on the number monsters. Super cute and fun!!

@mrbee: @Freckles: @mediagirl: how old was your LO when they started liking Endless Alphabet? DD is 15 months so I wonder if she is still too young for it?

@dolphin: we didn't really do much with apps or TV until recently - probably around 20 months? She's still figuring out how to move her fingers around on the screen to get the letters to move at almost 22 months.

@dolphin: Olive started using it at 21 months... she got it right away, so probably could have started a few months earlier even!

My LO likes "zoo train" I think it's called it's a combo of 4 different types of game
1 sort of like endless alphabet
1 sort of like a jigsaw puzzle with trains and another for objects these are 2 different games but I feel they are the same type
1 is a music touch and play and they can change the song by touching the notes after the song is playing... very interesting
1 is a pick your box car and that train will run
He is 24 months now... but he loved it since he was about 18 months

@dolphin: We got the app pretty early on, but she had trouble dragging the alphabets on the screen. She finally got it at 20 months.
