I listened to new music for a long time, but recently have gone back to the 90s and the 50s. The 90s, because I love hip hop/pop from that era - and the 50s because that's when a lot of the jazz that I love was recorded.

teenager of the 90's here! I find it funny that its kinda "retro cool" to today's teens. my girlfriend had a 90's dress up party for her 30th 5 years ago, and we rocked out to 90's tunes all night. KLF UH HUH! UH HUH UH HUH!

I grew up listening to Oldies, so honestly, 60s. Beatles, Stones and all that.

@Mrs. High Heels: aren't you too young for the 80s? I love a lot of those songs too. My favorite 80s song is In Your Eyes by Peter Gabriel.
90s for me and first part of 2000s!

@sunny: Haha, what can I say... I'm an old soul! I have loved 80s music for as long as I can remember. Used to belt out 80s karaoke songs like it was nobody's business... though nobody wants to hear that.

@Mrs. High Heels: I vote for the 90's too but I love every song on your list! I also liked Debbie Gibson too, hahaha. I recently saw a video clip of her with Corey Feldman playing the parents in one of Katy Perry's song's and it made me nostalgic of that radio era. Does anyone remember having to wait by the radio hoping our favorite song would come on? If we recorded it on cassette, the comercials were recorded too. LOL

@Kimberlybee: Yes, I used to wait by the radio all the time and would fall asleep with it on! I would record tapes, and pause it during commercials and record other songs as they came on. I spent hours doing that stuff! Those were the days...

@Kimberlybee: @Mrs. High Heels: Did you guys make mix tapes for your friends? I wonder if kids still do that these days!!

@Mrs. High Heels: 80s is my 2nd favorite decade (and I'm not too young!) Love your list of songs!

@Mrs. High Heels: ah love your list!!!
Its a toss up for 80 and 90's!
@mrbee: OMG I loved mixed tapes!!!!
grapefruit / 4085 posts
@Kimberlybee: Haha, I always hovered over the radio with my fingers over the record button! I remember seeing Debbie Gibson in concert when I was 8
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@Kimberlybee: oh yes I had many a tape recorded straight off the radio.

I was never into NKOTB or Debbie Gibson when I was in elementary school. By the time I got to junior high and felt like an outcast the rock bands of the 90s spoke to me. I really loved Green River, Screaming Trees, Mudhoney, Nirvana.

90's! I don't even keep up with music now! I love my teen pop!

@Mrs. High Heels: YES!!! The 80's for sure! 90's are 2nd runner up.

@mrbee: I always go back to the 90's too! Love the alt rock/grunge and pop from that time.

Late '90s/early '00's hip-hop and R&B/pop. I do keep up with current music, but that's my go-to decade/genre. Basically from high school through college for me.

I love the late 90s/early 00...my high school and college music days. I can listen to it non-stop. I also love hair bands of the 80s, and the 60s with Motown.

I guess 90s/early 00s would be my favorite, but I like mostly all of it.

Most people say 90's but I hated the music from that era! It was really whiny and uninteresting in my opinion. I love 80's music and jazz but mostly listen to modern country!

My taste is eclectic. Love me some peter, Paul and mary, beegees, Billy joel, Rihanna, Kanye west, backstreet boys, sia, cocorosie, clouddead, partysquad, and Chris crocker lol. So kind of all over.
