thinking about Christmas which will be right before #2 comes. I think she will really like being little mommy so planning to do a doll, cradle and stroller. I've looked at the bitty baby but I'm not sure it's worth the $ - any opinions? any other dolls you love? thanks!

LO is 3 and she has enjoyed her Corolle doll http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000AM2L1O?pc_redir=1408850963&robot_redir=1 . We have the Corolle stroller and have also bought a separate outfit as well as some generic baby accessories. We are planning to get her the boy version for when LO#2 comes because she has been telling everyone that she is also having a baby on the day that her sister comes

We have some nicer cabbage patch dolls but she loves a cheap old one because it's smaller.

FYI - we had to hide her Baby doll stroller because the wheels made toouch noise around the new baby when she pushed it on the hardwood.

L has a 'Little Mommy' doll (the pink one in the middle) and looooves her. The clothes don't come off, the head, arms & legs are hard but the body is soft, the eyes don't move. The bottle does not fit in the mouth which is my only complaint.
I love it because it's cute (some are soooo creepy!) and it was cheaper than most -

she's obsessed with her own bink, so she loves that her baby doll has one. They're only like $12 at target, too!

@Pancakes: I have wondered about the boy/girl doll thing. I was thinking to get her a boy since she's getting a baby brother (but it limits doll clothes available a lot more). then today she tells me her baby in her tummy is Margaret (aka new baby on Daniel Tiger) so maybe I should go girl after all? I wonder if it matters?

@bhbee: Yeah that is the reason we are getting a boy doll this time, because she says she has a baby boy in her tummy (even though I am having a girl). It is way easier to find accessories and clothes for a girl doll, so if we didn't already have the girl version I would probably get that!
