Just like the title states! What gear/brands would you recommend to parents just starting the solids journey? Also, anything to add for feeding a baby on travels?

I just used my existing cuisinart food processor to make all of LO's purees.

Plenty of bibs, a good highchair (I like the IKEA Antelope) and I like the Munchkin plastic spoons. Call me cheap but I don't really think you need to spend a tonne of $$ on feeding gear!

If you make your own food the oxo tot blocks and freezing tray are the best!
I also love the Boon squirt - great for purée feeding on the go
The Phil and Ted lobster travel high chair has been really useful at grandmas, restaurants, friends houses, hotels etc. I used it way more than I thought I would!

Bibs that you can wipe down (bumkins). We use these spoons and they scrape puree off of face well

A high chair with minimal cloth/fabric. We use the Gerber organic pouches when we're on the go so we don't miss (too many) meals if we unexpectedly have to run out.

Get a Sqeezee for home made pouches. It is awesome for travel and has a one way valve so it doesn't spill like pouches do with babies.
