My ILs got us a Keurig for our anniversary! 
DH has one at work and he likes the Sbux Dark French Roast and the Emeril Lagasse one. I really liked the Cafe Escapes Chai Latte in the sampler pack. I also ordered a box of Barista Prima House Blend for DH to try. Read a blog that said that was a pretty good medium-dark roast.
What's your favorite K-cup?

@BakerBee: I know!!! I'm not drinking full caff right now and that was the only other one in the sampler I could try. I was surprised because I tried a chai latte at Sbux once and I was not a fan.

@locavore_mama: I haven't had one in soooo long. I stick to the decaf these days (at least with the keurig). Your post reminded me that I should probably buy a variety pack of k-cups for my in-laws visit next week!

I like the donut house coffee Kcup - it reminds me of Tim Hortons, which also has a good Kcup.

@BakerBee: haha precisely why I bought some different packs! My mom will be here Friday and the dark roast is probably too strong for her.
Office Depot is running a sale on K-cups! Then there's a code for $10 off $50 and Free Shipping. Depending on the K-cup comes to about 40cts a cup which isn't bad! And 4% back via Ebates.

@Mrsjets: ooo does it taste anything like their coffee? Do they ever go on sale? I'm not sure if their K-Cups are available in the decaf but their's is probably my favorite decaf!

I like anything light or medium roast-- it has more caffeine. haha. And I don't like anything flavored... so just breakfast blend or coffee house roasts are good for me.

Has anyone use the reusable cups for Keurigs?
I *hate* how much waste there is with a K cup. But do you defeat the purpose of the "perfect" cup with filling your own?

@locavore_mama: We use them! The stainless steel inner basket, red plastic outer basket, and they're really great! Since ours isn't mesh it's actually super easy to clean too.

@Mrs. Grizzly Bear: so what do you do? Do you use regular ground coffee? Is there a fill line? Does it still produce the same "perfect" cup?

@locavore_mama: We have! We used this one (link below) and have never had a complaint about it. We do have trouble keeping up with it for some reason... but I think that's more an user error

@locavore_mama: There's a fill line but I typically use one scoop. Like maybe a tablespoon worth. And yes, still produces the perfect cup for us

We also use the reusable cups. I highly recommend using a liner because the stainless steel baskets are a little hard to clean. we bought a Melitta JavaJig

We bought a "my k-cup" and grind up some good ol 8 o'clock and use it in there instead of buying the 8 o'clock kcups.(also use it for loose tea) BUT I really like the Green Mountain Hazelnut and seasonal kcups (especially around Christmas) and Chai Latte ones. Hope you love your Keurig as much as I do! Hehe

I like Rogers family coffee French roast knock off k cups. They only have a paper filter, foil top and plastic ring so there's lots less waste plus with Amazon S&S they run about .29/cup.

I love my keurigs! I have a regular one and one that makes lattes and cappuccino. I like the medium intensity one. For the original keurig, I use the reusable cups and Gevalia coffee.

I like donut shop myself....gotta go out and get the decaf version now that I'm preggo though. Oh and I LOVE the apple cider! Super yummy in the winter.

I like the Newman's special blend...you can get it at Costco. I don't like super strong coffee and this is perfect.

8 o'clock dark Italian roast or stop and shop brand "shore blend" medium roast. 8 o'clock is typically the cheapest in store, too and coupons are easy to find.
I just bought a random flavor sample pack that was 1/2 off at Christmas Tree Shop. I think it was like $12 for 48 kcups. If I hate them I will just bring them into work.

Barista Prima Italian Roast, but it's more expensive so we don't buy it often. We usually have the cheaper Tully's Italian Roast on hand.
