We have no cable, only Netflix and Prime. So many kid shows today make me want to poke my eye out. What are your favorites?
Currently, mine are Puffin Rock and Tumbleleaf. They are so calming and sweet. Love their music. (My boys are 4.5 and 20 months).

I was just going to suggest Tumble Leaf - it really is such a great show! It is my favorite, hands down.
Sarah and Duck is really mellow. The Hive and Peppa Pig aren't super loud/busy shows either.
Bubble Guppies isn't particularly calm/mellow, but it sure has some catchy tunes!

My kids are obsessed with Little Baby Bum on Netflix. It’s just a series of kids songs but the music is pretty calm and my kids (4.5 and 2) actually sing along or do the body motions with the videos (like head shoulders knees and toes). I feel good that they are actually interacting a bit.

I really like Stinky & Dirty on Amazon - it's about a garbage truck and backhoe loader who are best friends and work together to help solve problems around town. Great for kids who like construction trucks!

My 4.5 year old loves pretty much everything on PBSKids, which you can access the same way you do Netflix and Prime.

@trixi: yes you can download the pbs kids app and get free shows, usually four per show. So like there’s 4 Daniel tigers at any given time and they update once a week. Also lots of pbs kids are available on prime.

Storybots on Netflix. I feel like it's educational and it has cute/catchy songs, but it also cracks me up.
@Foodnerd81: I put Little Baby Bum on when my 13-month-old is really fussy for reasons I can't figure out. She's mesmerized by it.

I like Puffin Rock, Sarah and Duck, Doki (even I learn something!) and Little Einsteins.
I don't like them as much, but Masha and the Bear and Animal Mechanicals have been big hits with my toddler.

@Foodnerd81: what is it about little baby bum?! My son loved it and it was great for keeping him entertained when we were out for a meal.
Now he loves Thomas, which is available on amazon.

@Foodnerd81: @LadyDi: my boys love LBB too. DS1 currently is hooked on the Eat your vegetables song - if only he would actually eat them.
@LadyDi: we found Thomas on Amazon this weekend - thank goodness- we were so bummed when pbs stopped airing it.

@LadyDi: I was so happy to find it on Netflix! My older daughter used to watch it on YouTube back when dd2 was a newborn and I just needed something, but YouTube can lead you down some dark holes. I feel a lot better with it on Netflix!

Blippi. He's on YouTube and we actually bought his DVDs. I don't know if he is on Prime or Netflix. I love that he teaches my kid super random stuff about life: how to check the oil in a push lawn mower, what a leaf blower is and how it works, all the different inner workings of a garbage truck, tutorials about elephants.
Blippi is a Air Force veteran and is also very good looking 
He's so endearing and super goofy without being a total creep like the Wiggles or Teletubbies!

DS is 3.5 and pretty much only gets to watch TV while I'm getting dressed for work on days when DH is out of town. On those mornings, the very first words out of his mouth, the second he wakes up, are "momma, can i watch Blippi in your closet while you get dressed?"

DD1's favorites change all the time. She's really into the new PBS show Pinkalicious/Peterrific. She also loves Super Why & Team Umi Zoomi. She was into Sid the Science Kid a while back too even though she's only 3.

Peppa, stinky dirty, and daniel tiger are my tolerated shows. Actually I quite like peppa, and my daughter has started to talk about to-mah-toes and "going on holiday" and its always been a not-so-secret dream of mine to have a child with a british accent. Ha!
I can't stand paw patrol, but it led to my 3 year old getting herself potty trained last week, so I really don't have a leg to stand on with my complaints. My daughter is also OBSESSED with little baby bum wheels on bus. She SCREAMS for it out loud whenever she even sees a glimpse of the youtube app.

LO and I agree that Daniel Tiger is the best, but we're big Sophia the First fans too.
I'm super impressed by anyone that can handle Peppa Pig - that show makes me ragey!

@SweetCaroline: is it bad that I sort of hate that my in laws accidentally introduced blippi into our lives? His stuff is catchy but my son is obsessed to the point where I can’t let him watch it. He demands videos blippi has not made and is irate when we explain that a blippi video about X doesn’t exist, hah!

DS is 3 and his favourite show is Kazoops, it's an Australian show that's on Netflix and it doesn't annoy me at all. There are songs but they're fun. He also likes PJ Masks whenever we catch it on tv but we haven't watched a lot.

On Netflix my 20 month old likes Mother Goose Club and Hi-5 House. He also likes Llama Llama lately - usually he only likes shows with lots of singing so this one is surprising. Prime has some different episodes of Mother Goose Club too.
On youtube a good choice is usually Dave and Ava (though their adds for their products gets repetitive on some videos), ABCKids, and Disney junior nursery rhymes.
He was also obsessed with Little Baby Bum but prefers the other shows now.

We only watch three shows.

-Lion Guard, DH bought the current season, but I think the first season is Amazon Prime for free
