It's getting cold so it's time for some leggings! I went to Ann Taylor today, but they were baggy & $$$, not a good look for me! I'm looking for some a bit thicker than footless tights, but still pretty fitted to wear under dresses. Suggestions? Bargins get extra points!!

I bought some pretty thick ones today at H&M (and I bought them for the purpose of wearing under sweater dresses). They're very comfy and I think they were $14.95.

Way back when I bought a pair from American Apparel that were a great thickness for fall/winter. I just wasn't a fan of the waistband.

I feel your pain, girl. I have yet to find a good pair that doesn't stretch and get see-thru-ish (I hope you know what I'm saying) AND has a waistband that doesn't dig in (I've got quite the mommy belly). Still wearing my maternity leggings now, and they're not very comfy for me (the seam between the belly part and the legging part comes up to my belly button, very awkward). Hopefully some people will have good suggestions!!

@mrs. bird: The closest one to me is about 30-40 minutes away. I usually take a trip over there once a month...I just love the clothes and the prices!
@mrs. wagon: They had a ton of options at H&M. I love the waistband on mine--it's pretty thick and they're really comfy. They are also not see-through at all. They also had some with a thin waistband (those were even cheaper--they were $9.95 and came in several different colors).

@Sammyfab: I love my AA winter leggings! The only thing I don't love is that they changed the fabric last year from a poly blend to a spandex blend, which made them less soft.

I LOVE the Lululemon leggings - they are probably designed for working out but I wear them almost every day and they have held up beautifully, and they hold their stretch all day, are fully opaque and keep me warm in Chicago winters. They are pricey but well worth it if you plan to wear them a lot.

@mrs. wagon: I am so jealous that you can walk! But it's probably best for our bank account that I can't. They had the ones I got with the thick waistband in the cutest pink/coral color, but I couldn't justify getting them because I have no idea what I'd wear them with. So I just got boring black

@spaniellove: & @Sammyfab: The AA have good reviews on amazon, and they're cheap! Maybe I'll try those. How do they run size wise? I hate when they're giving you a muffin top, but I don't want 'em to be baggy either.

@mrs. bird: I'm a 0-2 and the XS in the newer fabric blend fits like compression/running tights on me but not too small, although if muffin top is a concern you might consider sizing up.

I bought a bunch of footless, thermal leggings on Ebay last winter. I think most were from Asia, so expect to get a size or 2 up. But they were great quality, are stretchy and the lining is thick!
next time I'm out that way I'll def grab some!
