Do you have a favorite moisturizer for your kiddos?
I keep hearing about all of these potentially cancer causing shampoos, lotions, etc so I want to find something safe for the kids. We used to use Aveeno.

I like Shea moisture baby... It rates a 1 or 2 on EWG. EWG has an app (Healthy Living) where you can search the product or scan the bar code and it will give you the products rating.

@Boogs: I have no idea if this is "safe" but when my grandma was in assisted living they stocked her room with this lotion and it was awesome - I grabbed several bottles - haha -

I have no idea where they rate but we love Vanicream and Eucerin Baby

@ocean81: I've never heard of EWG, but thanks.
@Mamaof2: Amazing reviews! Sounds like it would be good for eczema also.

For LO's face I use Weleda products, either of these:
http://usa.weleda.com/our-products/shop/Baby-Derma-White-Mallow-Face-Cream.aspx
Or
http://usa.weleda.com/our-products/shop/calendula-face-cream.aspx
The above are 95% organic.
I use a Shea Moisture balm on her eczema spots and dry skin spots and CeraVe on her body.

@autumnlove: same. I just like that it's not overly scented and doesn't irritate her skin. I use it in both of us, she likes to "do lotion".

@Boogs: I use it for my products too. If you click on the skin deep guide to cosmetics you can search for whatever product you are questioning. They have good kid sunscreen / bug repellent lists too.

We use Vanicream for the whole family. Recommended by LO's allergist, and it helps with their eczema. It's the only lotion that doesn't make my face break out.

I got a huge pump bottle from a friend, not sure if I can afford to keep getting this for DD but it's been amazing for her mild eczema skin. It's La Rocha-Posay.

I like Aveeno. LO #2 has eczema and cradle cap, so I use CeraVe body wash with him. One of our old pediatricians told us to use the adult sensitive skin washes and lotions on him because they're the same. Right around that time, all of the companies started releasing baby versions. Either way, they work great.
