@Alivoo01: how do you transport hot dogs and hamburgers for picnics?
I was thinking like cheese and crackers, fruit, wine and baguette to take me back to my pre-kid days.

In a cooler/heat bag. We have a small cooler that we use for keeping drinks cold, but if we keep hot food in there instead of ice and cold beverages, it keeps it warm too.
Meanwhile, cheese and crackers with assorted meats sounds delicious and much simpler!

Hm maybe wraps made with cold cuts and individually wrapped with aluminum foil? Fruit salads?

Potato salad! Watermelon

Watermelon feta salad.
Hummus and dippers.
Mini corn dog muffins.
Cheese and fruit.
Tea sandwiches. -
My picnic staples are:
Caprese kabobs
Fruit salsa and cinnamon chips
Proscuitto-wrapped melon
Cheese plate
Cucumber sandwiches
TJ's bruschetta dip and a baguette
Hummus/veggies/pita chips
Arugula couscous salad -
Sandwiches and chips, also pepperoni crescent rolls are always a hit with the kids.

Orzo caprese salad - toss orzo, chopped mozzarella, tomatoes, basil, Parmesan and balsamic vinaigrette together. Add some chopped chicken if you want a complete meal. Hearty sandwiches like turkey and cheese and pesto on ciabatta, turkey and hummus and spinach on pita, or roast beef and horseradish on a crusty roll - they don't go mushy. A good fruit salad. Something sweet like chocolate pudding or brownies. Iced tea.
