I need something that can be cross body but also have a strap that goes over my shoulder. I tend to get mine from the Coach outlet. It's big enough that it carries everything I need but not too big, though I still lose things as I tend to just throw stuff in. I go with black so it's classic and goes with everything. I usually catch a sale and it lasts me years.

I love my Longchamps Le Pliage. I have it in size large so I can use it as a briefcase when need be. It fits EVERYTHING, but is super light weight and holds its shape beautifully regardless of whether it’s empty or full. It’s over the shoulder.

@poppygirl15: Did you know you can personalize them now with your choice of colored stripe and a monogram? It’s one my Christmas list!

I love Cuyana bags. They have a great cross body tote and I like the big bags for work. But, all my purses are sad and collecting dust now! I haven’t worn one since March. Where are you all going with purses in Covid times?!

@JJ2626: LOL! Nowhere. I actually got a new Longchamps for my birthday which was two weeks before the shut down. It’s still folded in my closet, never having seen the light of day. :sigh:

I love my MZ wallace sutton tote. I have the small and the micro. Now that mine are older and just recently out of diapers, I can get away with the micro (it fits a wallet, phone, pack of wipes, hand sanitizer, 2 small snacks for the kids, i can even cram a small water bottle in). I can fit a ton in the small.
It won't go over your shoulder but does have handle straps and a cross body strap (I almost always wear everything cross-body; am I just a hunchback or do straps fall off of everyones shoulders???)
Lots of color options, sales often, easy to clean (I think MZ wallace even says you can machine wash them if you have to, but to preserve the leather accents spot cleaning is better)
