We will be buying LO his first winter coat soon and I'm curious if any bees have one they love.

I bought DD a babygap puffer jacket and she wore it for 2 winters. Not sure what I'll get this year..

@jmarionsmith: how old is LO? We got her a tcp 3-1 last year big. It still fits this year. I'll likely get her a North face for next year at the end of the season. She's walking now but we'll probably still be carrying from car to door. But next year she'll probably do more of that herself.
I do want to get her a dressy coat though for the holidays and special occasions.
Also it depends on what your "winter" is!

@chopsuey: thanks!
@locavore_mama: he's 12.5 months. i was just looking at north face but they don't have a ton of options in his size. we're in nc, so our winters vary year to year. so annoying! i'll check out tcp!

We bought DS a baby gap puffer jacket too (bright orange!) for his first proper cold winter (in France) and a beautiful Zara peacoat for dressier occasions. DD has had a few nice coat type jackets from babygap too. I also love puffy vests for keeping the chest and throat cosy but arms free to play!
Eta: puffy vests or quilted vests are the best if your winters aren't super cold/changeable.

@jmarionsmith: although Nordstrom rack carries north faces from last year, there are a lot more options there and less $$
With DS, our favorite snow jacket was an old navy 3-1, it came with a fleece zip up that he wore for 2 years. My favorite for DD has been the north face body suits, they were great - she wore hers all winter.

I like the Lands End 3 in 1 coats, they're a 2 piece thing, a fleece and a rain proof cover. You can use it all in one, or each piece individually. I get one for every one in the family, I love them that much!

She has a NorthFace fleece and this peacoat for really cold weather:

@LuLu Mom: Thats the peacoat I think we're buying C for winter!
We're definitely going the peacoat route. I dont want anything too bulky that it will mess with the carseat straps.

@LuLu Mom: We just got a peacoat similar to that from the Gap. It has gold anchor buttons on it which completely sold it for me!
