We are potty training late and skipping the potties but going straight to the potty seats that you attach to the toilet.
Any particular brands or types that are preferred?
Also wondering if any sort of travel one exists?
Thanks!

I like the oxo tot one. It is super easy to clean and put on and off. It also stands up on its own beside the toilet when you aren't using it.
We do have a travel one (not sure of the brand) but it's so annoying because it collapses on her. So she just holds herself up now and we don't use it

Have you considered getting one of those toilet seats that have the built in child seat? Like this: Mayfair 83SLOWA NextStep Adult Toilet Seat with Built-in Child Potty Training Seat, Round, White https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EPET9RC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_cmQdxb8C0G8Q7
For travel, I think the Potette is popular

We have the built in potty seat like @mauxie: mentioned. I think it's the best invention ever! We also have a Potette but DS refuses to use it, saying it hurts his bum to sit on it.

We will use the built in potty seat, I want DD2 to be comfortable going on a normal seat, it took DD1 longer to break the ring habit than to potty train in general, it was a huge pain!

We have the built in one, but she's only actually used it like three times.

We have to Oxo Tot one @Charm54 mentioned, but it doesn't fit our toilet. We have a fancy automated hybrid bidet/seat (DH insisted) and it's a funny shape. But even aside from the fact that it slides around, DD doesn't like it because it has a seam around the inside of the ring from the way the plastic is molded, and it hurts her (it leaves nasty red marks, so I believe her -- she's not just saying it to get out of using the potty). My parents bought a cheap one at Wal-Mart for their house (Graco maybe?), it's squishy and DD loves it. I have to ask them what brand it is.

We have a cheap squishy one from Target. We didn't actually use it much for DS, but I have other little ones here a lot and they like it. The best thing I did was put a command hook under the toilet paper so it could be hung out of the way, but in toddler reach when not in use.

DS likes the Bjorn one that sits on the potty. It's really expensive, but seems to be the most comfortable for him.

We have the built in one as well. I loved it so much I bought one for my mother's house. Imagine the look on her face when I showed up with a toilet seat? But she also thinks it is the greatest thing ever.
