@Ms.Mermaid: That's such a good way to look at it. At least you know what's coming. Hopefully you kept some maternity clothes and they'll fit at all the right seasons.
@Ginaandcorey: I agree with the flu season though. I was hoping to not find out what we're having and have a "meet the baby" party a couple weeks after delivery. but if the due dates during flu season that definitely wont be the option. My DS was born in November so I know what to expect holiday wise if we have a baby around the same time.

@Ms.Mermaid: haha we do! Well now it's fate right?! Maybe I'll stop being so down this month my aunt also had a dream that I had a 2nd daughter the day I od so if I believe in signs
nectarine / 2288 posts
@Ginaandcorey: we do! And our anniversaries are in October so it's already a full month. I was just a bit careful with my first, but we did live in ca where the flu is less of a big deal because it's not as cold so less enclosed spaces
@MrsMom: I'd have it anyway and just don't let too many people hold baby. More of a sip and see, no touching

@MrsMom: Somehow I wound up with three of my friends maternity clothes as well so I have a huge stash and my SIL has my favorite maternity pants and I WANT THEM BACK but we aren't telling them until at least March, probably April, and she's due in June so I feel like I should just wait but seriously no, give me my pants.
Also my sister had a baby in my maternity yoga pants so I need to buy a new pair of those.

@Ms.Mermaid: Definitely get them back. It’s hard to find a favorite pair of maternity pants!

Is anyone trying anything new this month? I've added smoothies to my mornings (acai, chia, goji, collagen protein) and CoQ10 pills with my prenatals and DHA.
DH is SO cheerleading that we can do this before the RE apt. AF is due the day after the apt, so there is a chance I suppose of a BFP before then. I'm feeling oddly relaxed after yesterday though. I haven't been checking my app obsessively or anything. It's as if the idea of finally having help has lifted something for me.

Does anyone want to talk symptoms with me for a minute? I was annoyed this month b/c I wasn't having my typical O symptoms. O should have happened on or close to the 26th. I have short cycles - 25-26 days. I've been tracking my cycle for 3 months. Today I had clear, sticky discharge like what typically happens before O. I'm supposedly on CD17. What is up with this discharge?
nectarine / 2288 posts
@Ginaandcorey: what cd do you usually o? You could just be ovulating late, which will then make your cycle longer than usual because your luteal phase should be close to the same number of days always
If I see fertile cm I bd just to be safe. Is it stretchy?
nectarine / 2288 posts
@Ms.Mermaid: lol I think all further borrowing should include a, you won't have the baby in these clothes
nectarine / 2288 posts
@afc061018: I'm trying to be less obsessive and worried (and failing lol) does that count?
cherry / 161 posts
@MamaBear87: it is stretchy. We are BDing every other night just to be on the safe side so, I'm covered. I just find it so weird... I'm off to the google rabbit hole...
nectarine / 2288 posts
@Ginaandcorey: what are you basing when o should have happened on? I can't remember if you're charting. Charting is a mind trip in itself, I'm over here worrying that I'm 2dpo and my temp didn't go up much last night
cherry / 161 posts
@MamaBear87: I'm just charting and going with the fact that I am very, very regular. And everything the past 2 months has made sense. This month doesn't make sense. I'm also doing OPK's when I remember...I forgot this weekend...I'm going to test on OPK's today and tomorrow and see if they show anything.
nectarine / 2288 posts
@Ginaandcorey: TTC made my cycle completely weird for the second 2 months. And I'm usually super regular. If your temp hasn't yet gone up I'd keep bding until it does. Ha we are, and I just wanted a solid spike so we could skip tonight
cherry / 161 posts
@MamaBear87: I haven't been temping. My thermometer is en-route from Amazon... Hahaha. Bought it figuring I'm out this month and will try again next month. Pessimism is my middle name.
nectarine / 2288 posts
@Ginaandcorey: oh me too! I'm already convinced something is wrong with us since lo took 1 month and we're on month 5 now
persimmon / 1385 posts
@Ginaandcorey: Did you bd last night? It could be semen/ejaculate mixing with your cm. I'd take an opk just to be safe. But I get some stringy/stretchy cm in the tww and almost ewcm right before/during AF on the regular.
nectarine / 2288 posts
@BadgerMom: are you still holding out over there? If so high five!

Okay ladies. Third AM in a row of ABSOLUTELY positive OPKs. Usually it’s one AM and that’s it. Do I keep up with BD? Marathon week over here- haha.
persimmon / 1385 posts
@MamaBear87: Yep! I went to pee this morning after getting up and had to keep telling myself, "I'm letting it go down the drain, I'm letting it go down the drain," before I could get out a stick. I was nauseous again this AM after having some coffee on an empty stomach, but that could also just be having coffee on an empty stomach lol.
@Ginaandcorey: No worries. TTC makes us all complete idiots.
persimmon / 1385 posts
@Kmomartin: Check this out. This helped me understand that your LH curve is not one size fits all and can be different for everyone or for each cycle and a different shaped lh curve will give you different opk results.
apricot / 301 posts
@Kmomartin: I have had a month like this! We try to BD until I see it start to go back down. Keep going!
nectarine / 2288 posts
@Kmomartin: most women will o 12-48 hours after the first positive opk. So just something to keep in mind. If your watching you cm or taking your temp that will help you pinpoint when you've ovulated. Or you can totally just keep bding to cover your bases
nectarine / 2288 posts
@Ginaandcorey: gross but for future I find semen to be less stretchy and smell like semen
nectarine / 2288 posts
@BadgerMom: I've been nauseous at the end of my cycle the last 2. And it's not a thing I usually get. So annoying. Fingers crossed for you!
persimmon / 1385 posts
@afc061018: Yep. Here is the actual link to the study. It also includes diagrams of cycles were ovulation is confirmed by ultrasound prior to the LH surge.

@MamaBear87: @badgermom: I've had that problem for a couple of cycles, too. I seriously thought I was pregnant for one. I was texting with an online friend and she wanted me to test so bad, she venmoed me $ to force me to buy a test. Ha ha ha.

Well, my opks were totally negative today, so I’m thinking I am probably Oing today. I felt ovary twinges yesterday, so maybe even last night? I usually feel them on the right, but felt them on both sides this month, so could just be hormone something going on.

@LAZB: i likely od on Sunday and I'm already like ok tww let's just fast forward

@Ginaandcorey: i took a test the first time expecting a positive and instead ended up with a sad white test
persimmon / 1385 posts
@MamaBear87: @Ginaandcorey: The thought of a negative test is starting to make me anxious. I might be able to hold out another day. Ugh. I don’t remember feeling this way before my first. I just feel so much more pressure this time.
nectarine / 2288 posts
@BadgerMom: the waiting/not wanting to see a negative test is the worst part!
