@LAZB: I’ve been having ovary twinges on both sides for 3-4 months. Don’t know what’s going on but hoping for not twins.

@BadgerMom: definitely hold out. I’m like, 13 DPO and still testing and still getting pretty faint positives and it’s making me nervous. They are getting darker but still! Nausea kicked in yesterday so I’m hopeful this one isn’t a CP but I’m still not even late yet.

So last time I only used FRERs and dollar tree tests but I’ve been testing with the cheap tests just to see progression and this is the first time I’ve gotten a clear positive with a Wondfo and I’m 13DPO. Everything else besides the FRER has been a squinter. Just sharing in case anyone is interested in how long it takes to get two solid lines.

@Ms.Mermaid: hoping for not twins too 😂 I love Being pregnant, and I love babies, but I prefer them one at a time

@LAZB: @Ms.Mermaid: I'm irrationally freaked out about twins. Cousins on both sides have them and it just seems completely unmanageable for like a year. Plus I'd automatically risk out of my birth center

@MamaBear87: I’m freaked out too, and there are absolutely no twins my family. When people say “I think twins would be fun!” I am like “nope!” Also, I’m afraid that because I’m so afraid of having them I am destined to have them LOL

@LAZB: hubby wanted them the first go round and I was like you're seriously insane. One cousins twins are natural and the other are surrogate twins so they put 2 embryos in. Fingers crossed for single positives 😂

@LAZB: we are for sure done after two and I hate being pregnant and I feel like the best thing about a second baby is getting to really enjoy the baby instead of being stressed and I feel like two will be so stressful.

@Ms.Mermaid: if it makes you feel better most of the twin bfp I've seen are screaming before you even miss your period so I'd try not to worry

@MamaBear87: @Ms.Mermaid: @LAZB: I wanted twins so badly my first pregnancy - built in playmates! But not now. No way. Too much. Thankfully the only twins anywhere in our family are dh's grandmother which means it wouldn't be passed to the male family member.... I think....

@Ms.Mermaid: With my first, I tested with Wondfos on 8 and 10 dpo. Stark white negatives. I tested with a FRER on 12 dpo and it was a solid clear line. I don't think I got a solid line on a Wondfo until after I missed my period. If you're really worried about seeing a darker line I would go out and splurge on another FRER.

  13. LAZB

@BadgerMom: me too, wondfos took until like 18 dpo for a really strong line for me

I held out and didn't test this AM. I think I'll test tomorrow morning since DH will be home. Still feeling nauseous, so I'm either pregnant or have a low level version of the stomach bug going around. Both are probably equally probable lol. My temp is still up but not climbing. I've bounced between 98.6 and 98.4 the last 4 days, with yesterday and today being 98.4. I'm also gassy/bloaty but that's been going on since like 3dpo. I've had some VERY mild cramping, but that's gone away for the last couple days, and I've been feeling some pinching sensations. I've never watched my PMS symptoms that closely to know if all this is usual or not. I don't seem to have any PMS symptoms that stand out enough to really know whether they're there or not there every month.

So I think I might be going crazy...I'm not temping or charting, just tracking cycles with some apps on my phone. I'm CD15 and normally have a 26-27 day cycle.

Not sure if this is ovulation pain or not, but having like dull ache, kind of like cramps, in what feels kind of like my right groin area, kind of straight across from my hip bone. Is that what ovulation pain feels like? It is also possible that I might have tweaked something muscle wise racing at a swim meet this weekend LOL. But I've never really paid attention to ovulation symptoms prior and I'm pretty sure I had something similar to this last month too on CD16?

Or I am going crazy...this is probably more likely.

Well we've had a rough couple of days...My mom ended up in the hospital with chest pain and tests showed she possibly had a heart attack but they can't pin point when. They did a Angio and she luckily doesn't have any blockages but will need to be on meds from here on. I was a complete wreck yesterday.

On top of that my OPK's are unchanging and my OB appt for Friday was cancelled and rescheduled for the 28th.

I'm feeling so lost....Sorry to be the debbie downer.

@yogifish: It definitely sounds like that's what it could be, especially if its happening around the same time each month and the time line makes sense. I definitely been more in tuned with my body since TTC and have been noticing all kinds of twinges, pinches, & pain that just make my mind go crazy.

@MrsMom: haha! I know right? I think because we weren't trying until last month I wasn't paying attention at all and now I'm all over every single little thing. I don't remember this from our first go around trying but to be fair that was 3 years ago!

Sorry to hear about your mom. Hopefully they caught it early enough to prevent a really big and bad cardiac event in the future.

    Jumping in...

    Cycle Day: 5
    TTC Cycle: 1
Ovulation Date: Honestly, I don't know what to expect wrt O date. I had a miscarriage in Nov. and my cycles have been weird since, but I'll be starting OPKs tomorrow, so we'll see.
    POAS Date: 2/23
    Baby #: 1

What're you looking forward to this month?: Idk. I'm honestly really nervous to go back to trying. The first time we conceived in the first month (more NTNP really than TTC), and I'm not sure I'm ready to be pregnant again, but I also feel like I can't really wait because I'm 33 and have no idea if I'll get pregnant quickly again or if that was just a fluke the first time.

I'm out. 11 DPO and stark white on a wondfo (last time with DS I had a clear positive on a wondfo at 9DPO so that's why I tested today). Not too bummed bc this month we were really NTNP, not so much TTC, but we did BD the day before O so there was a chance, also my skin has been HORRENDOUS the past few days, but I guess that's unrelated. I also do not feel pregnant- I looked back at fertility friend from the TWW when I got pregnant with DS, and I was having a lot of symptoms.

Feb I guess I'm officially starting to TTC, so will begin Mucinex and have an acupuncture appointment a few days before O.

@yogifish: Thank You! I can't remember anything from TTC my first 3.5 years ago. DH keeps asking me "did this happen last time" and I honestly can't remember anything! i know it took a while and i was upset a lot....thats it lol.

@Ginaandcorey: Thank you! When it rains, it pours! hopefully this was just a couple bad days and a bunch of good ones ahead. Had a good cry last night and I've decided to keep moving. I'm still hopeful maybe my OPK's will start changing.

@karenbme: Sorry to hear about your MC. Hopefully this month will bring you a sticky one!

@lioneyes: I tested positive 9DPO with my first too. But every pregnancy's different. You could still be in it. What is the benefits of taking Mucinex, if you don't mind me asking? I've seen people talk about it, but never really looked into it.

@yogifish: When I have ovulation pain, this is exactly what it sounds like. I tend to notice it more on my right side than my left.

  38. Ms.Mermaid

    kiwi / 745 posts

@yogifish: my o pain is generally me going, “I feel so bloated and uncomfortable” then “why does my side hurt?” then “am I dying? Is this appendicitis?” Then I check my app, see what CD it is, and take some Advil. Yours sounds milder but I chalk any pain below the belly button between CD 10-20 up to O pain.

@afc061018: @Ms.Mermaid: thank you guys! maybe this is why we weren't successful our first try! I figured with a shorter cycle I would be ovulating earlier in the month than CD15/16 but maybe I just have a shorter LP. I'll have to pay attention to see if the side alternates if this month isn't lucky.

Funny thing is the only reason I remember the actual date last month is I felt so crappy walking to the pool with my neighbor and our kids so I was able to go back and check my calendar this morning for the date and then check and see what cycle day it was! And I know it's not my appendix 100% because they took it out 9 years ago.

@AFC061018 @mrsmom I believe the active ingredient in Mucinex, guafenesin, thins out your mucus. So if you're congested, thinner mucus is easier to clear, and if you're TTC, makes it easier for the sperm to get where they need to. I actually buy the plain guafenesin so I'm not taking all the other stuff for sickies, they sell it at CVS. I do half a tab 2x a day, from 1 week before O to 3 days after O.
