@Sams Mom: It is like shopping with my DH at Home Depot ... we go there to pick up bags of wood chips and leave with a new table saw, paint, and a set of Adirondack chairs for the deck. π€¦ββοΈ
I do love how you think, though! ββοΈ

@yellowbeach: it is pretty, I'll call it my birthday present, and hopefully get a baby out of it
@Kaohinani: I think our husbands might be related... π It drives me insane.
Here it is

@Sams Mom: Wow, that is an absolutely stunning set! You will definitely have to put it to "good use." *wink-wink, elbow jab* π€£
I agree, while you and I have many similarities, our DHs are very much alike as well. Too funny!

Annnd, in the last 30 minutes, I have begun to cramp. My ovaries feel like they could burst ATM. Perhaps, I am beginning to ovulate now? (Which would be awesome.)
OV with 24 follicles sounds like a joy -- NOT!

@Kaohinani: that sounds terrible Clomid ovulation was terrible, I can't imagine lots of little eggies

@Sams Mom: Love it. Iβm seeing crisp white linens and fiddle-leaf fig trees. I could decorate the whole space. Such a versatile set but still has lots of character. Hard to achieve a good balance like that.

@yellowbeach: we bought our house 2 1/2 years ago, and we still have yet to paint or hang anything in the master bedroom π€¦ββοΈ
Or even buy anything to hang up in there

So I know I'm rushing to the doom and gloom, but my darker than usual for this point in my cycle OPKs are now getting lighter instead of darker... I know this could be an attempted ovulation with an actual ovulation later, but I have a gut feeling this is headed toward an anovulary cycle.

@Sams Mom: Beautiful furniture picks! Itβs gorgeous! Iβm sorry youβre feeling like youβre heading towards an anovulary cycle... I hope thatβs not the case!
@Kaohinani: I hope you ovulate soon too but Iβm sorry for the pain!

@bees_knees: welcome! We are trying for baby #4 too. Feels a little crazy but we are excited. Our others are a little older than yours though at 5, 3 and almost 7

@yellowbeach: excited to see youβre in the running this month. Hoping you and DH have peace about it all

As for me, all of the classic AF symptoms are here... sore ankles, breakouts, etc. I was convinced this was not our month so I decided to take a test just to get out of my head and know for sure that itβs negative and move on to awaiting AF. Now, Iβm just confused. I got a super faint line on a wondfo and donβt know what to think! Waiting to test again until tomorrow and maybe Iβll grab another kind of test at the store, though it seems every kind gives false positives these days.

@yellowbeach: here you go! Be honest!!! I feel like I see it better in person but I donβt know!
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@creativemomma15: uhhhh, I don't even have to filter that one! There is a faint pink line. If you take a FRER it should be much darker with the lower sensitivity.
Congratulations!
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@creativemomma15: Wow, get on HB late and you miss EVERYTHING! π€£ As for your HPT, that IS a BFP. (Congrats! )
If you use a 10-miu IC test OR a FRER, it will be much darker... I can't wait for you to test tomorrow!

@Sams Mom: I think, even with the cramping, I may be headed towards an anovulatory cycle as well. π€¦ββοΈ I just want to OV and get this cycle OVER with!!!!!

@Sams Mom: Can you post your chart? Canβt remember what CD you are now.
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@yellowbeach: I know I'm not even past expected O, but I've had scant to no CM, fertile or otherwise.
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@Kaohinani: weird question, do you just have to ovulate 1 of them to get moving, then everything will reabsorb?
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@Sams Mom:
Short answer: Yes.
Long answer: many [smaller] follicles will reabsorb on their own, larger follicles containing ova will only absorb (or become cysts) after one or more follicles have erupted to release ova (through ovulation).
So, many of the smaller follicles [potentially] could have already reabsorbed, but in order to avoid forming non-functional cysts, one would have to OV. That stated, if follicles are too large and do not rupture or reabsorb, even after one OVs, cysts may be present. In such a case, one would take BC pills for 2 weeks to a month in order to shrink back the cysts. That cycle would be rendered a lost cycle.
Affixed is my chart so you can see what I'm talking about:

@Kaohinani: is there any accurate correlations between E2 levels and BBT trends?
nectarine / 2648 posts
I feel like I should understand FF better by now, but can I expect to get crosshairs tomorrow?
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@yellowbeach: 2 more days, it needs 3 sustained temps above your CL
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@Sams Mom: Yes, if one's E2 is too high than one's LH will not build enough for ovulation (think along the lines of PCOS in which elevated E2 due to the cystic ovaries causes anovulatory and extended cycles). With out the decrease of E2, LH will not cause a surge... without a surge, progesterone will not adequately build. It is a delicate dance of hormones.
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@yellowbeach: Sams Mom responded before I could and took exactly what I was going to write: 3 days of elevated BBT equates to a definitive OV. You receive crosshairs after OV has been detected using those 3 temps.
nectarine / 2648 posts
@kaohinani @Sams Mom: So the dip on CD19 resets the clock so to speak?
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@yellowbeach: Yes. Approximately 70% of all women have an ovulatory "dip" either the day before or the day of ovulation. The next day will yield a spike in BBT and, usually, the 2 days following will demonstrate a higher climb as progesterone begins to increase and soar.
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@yellowbeach: yes, that dip is considered within regular fluctuation, so they won't count until it's 3 temps above the previous 6 days of "low" temps
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@Kaohinani: I guess I was more asking if you can tell if your E2 is dropping based on BBT. or if your pattern will just look the same as a regular cycle.
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@Sams Mom: It "should" look similar to previous cycles (atleast in the way that ovulation will show a spike in temps). As the E2 decreases, temps should even out and the LH would either cause a dip or stationary BBT until OV. However, with elevated E2, it takes longer to OV so the length of time from menstruation to OV will be longer and THAT may differ from other cycles. For some people, a high E2 creates a sawtooth pattern of low temps ... but for others', it can look exactly like a regular smooth pre-ovulary BBT.
IDK what the h#ll mine is doing. π€¦ββοΈ Either my E2 is climbing due to the crazy number of follicles (which would cause a decreased BBT) OR this morning's drop is my pre-ovulatory dip. π€·ββοΈ
grapefruit / 4144 posts
In writing all of this, I am realizing that I know WAYYY too much about TTC, BBT, charting, and hormones. π€£π€£ I missed my calling to be an OBGYN or a RE.

@Kaohinani: I mean a PA isn't that far off from where you are... π€·ββοΈ
You know, except for the minor detail of more school=more money out the door before more money comes in the door

@Sams Mom: π€ DH put a kibosh on me attending any more classes (unless they are audited) or going to a 5th college or university (unless I am working at it) ... soooo, that dream is dead.

@creativemomma15: no squinting needed there! Congrats!
I'm feeling good about my chart so far but not putting too much stock in anything yet. I've had a few days of gas, tummy troubles which is abnormal for me. If it continues I'll be getting antsier as my stomach was a mess the first week I got my BFP with both kids. I have a fresh box of cheapies so I may start testing Tuesday at 8dpo bc I'm crazy.
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@Phillybaby2013: Great looking chart! Good luck and I hope you get your BFP!
@Sams Mom: Thanks for updating. I was going to wait until tomorrow's test, but I am glad you did.
