@KJfromNJ: haha I wouldn't say no either. DH has begun to realize that every other day isn't quite as fun as it sounds and I'm definitely the one who has to remember!
Ah well, it'll all be worth it in the end (and if we did get a BFP this month or next it would be perfect timing for us!)

@SweetMamaM: I am going to sneakily put a reminder in his phone to go off at 11 am every other day (he sleeps in til 10-11, goes to work at 1pm and doesn't come home til after midnight. I work from home so I have BD "lunch breaks.") that says "Time to F*** your wife!" hahahahaha

@KJfromNJ: ha ha awesome! I sent him a text yesterday evening when I was going out with the girls reminding him that it was business time

So, haven't gotten a +OPK at all, but today was the most negative if that makes sense, and I got a spike in temp today. Maybe I'm one of those gals that doesn't have a good LH surge for an OPK, and I still ovulated anyway? We'll see if I have three days of high temps. It'll be good to know I am ovulating, but we only BD'd once in the fertile window if this is when I did O (the day before O). Gah! So frustrating.

Thanks everyone
@runnerd: I haven't been to the doctor yet, but when I checked online it said early October.

@SweetMamaM: Love it!
DH was pretty shocked when I told him! After the shock wore off, he got really excited though. Usually my cycles are 35-40 days so we weren't expecting anything for another week at least.

My fellow OPKers, when would you stop POASing on OPKs after getting a positive? This month for the first time I've only had one definitive day of positive (CD15) followed by one that was clearly negative (CD16) followed by one that was darker again, but nowhere near positive (CD17). With PCOS I know it's possible to have multiple surges with no O but can I assume that my body knows what it is doing this month, that I've ovulated already and I can stop with all the POASing? Or should I keep going? What would you do?
pomelo / 5000 posts
@Sweetmamam: I would have stopped after CD 16, but I'm not sure what you should do given you have PCOS. Are you charting or noting any other fertility signs? Those could be good clues as to whether you ovulated.
pomelo / 5132 posts
@SweetMamaM: are you temping? Did you have your thermal shift? I must have missed my surge opk wise but according to FF I am three DPO because of my temps and cervix position etc. if you're concerned, I'd keep testing for a little while.
pomelo / 5132 posts
@doxielove: alright I've got crosshairs on FF so I am now three DPO. Put me down for February 7th for POAS!
Gah, I hate you TWW. I am going to try to NOT be crazy but I was so excited to get my third high temp to confirm that I almost didn't go back to sleep! I just lay there with my hands on my stomach trying to send good vibes lol
grapefruit / 4862 posts
@SweetMamaM: I have PCOS and my doc "prescribed" OPK POAS from CD10-CD20. So regardless of results I'm doing all those days. I think more can't hurt for peace of mind. If it wasn't for PCOS I think it's fine to stop after a + but with PCOS I figure it's better to go til day 20 for me.

Howdy ladies!!
Even though I'm not joining this month, I have a question. Yesterday I started spotting. I'm currently cd18 and haven't ovulated yet. And I don't chart. Last month I od on cd20. Could this just be ovulation spotting or should I be concerned? My cycles have been so wonky since my m/c in september. Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!
honeydew / 7667 posts
@Ash: I would say your body is still adjusting but it could be indication of O. My body is still not adjusted 7 months after the fact.

@Mrs. Monkey: Congrats on your BFP!
@Mrs. J: Yay, POAS buddy!
@Ash: Hi!! I've been having a similar issue and I was just going to post about it. I've been spotting for the past 6 days. Usually I O around this time so I thought it *may* be related...but I never thought O spotting lasted this long...sorry my answer isn't more helpful - but you're not alone!!

@doxielove: Thanks lady! I'm just really down and this cycle craziness doesn't help. Maybe I'll be joining the thread. You girls always lift my spirits! hope you get some answers.

Hey y'all, I think I'm rolling over to this board from January! My last cycle was my first off of BCP and it ended up being a 49 day cycle. I thought it was suuuper long just because I got sick and I assumed O got delayed. Now, as I'm in the throws of another cycle with no sign of O, I'm thinking it's just crazy long cycles after the pill. Blah. I just got back from 10 days in Hawaii and I didn't get like, any legit temps (I started taking a few but the time change and AWFUL sleep doesn't make me too confident), so I'm kind of lost! http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/3dc29d
Current Cycle Day: 33 (no BFP and no AF yet...)
Ovulation Day: If it's anything like last cycle, maaaybe in a few days, CD36? I thought I had O'ed on CD13ish, but there was nooo evidence that supported it looking back.
POAS Day: I'll just say Feb. 12 for now...we'll see what happens.
Cycles Trying: This is the 2nd official cycle trying.
Lookin' forward to following along!

@Ash: aww I know you wanted to take a break from the thread but the more the merrier!
grapefruit / 4862 posts
@doxielove: LOL looking at the updated list and @Mrs. Monkey's BFP next to my name is the closest I've been to one, HAHA! Hope hers rubs off on me!!!!
My period is expected on 2/4 but since it looks like I O'd later, I might test more like the 7th, but we'll just say sometime that week and leave it at 2/4. FX to everyone!!!!! My temps are up 2 days in a row so if temps are up tomorrow too I'll get my crosshairs on FF!
grapefruit / 4862 posts
@Happygal: well thanks a bunch, I am now ADDICTED to the charts on FF haha! It's helped me calm down a bit though and realize charts have some similarities on successful cycles but aren't cookie cutter.
pear / 1743 posts
@Happygal: @Mrs. J: I'm not temping (not a solid sleeper) but cm would tend to support the idea that I O'd
@KJfromNJ: thanks for the heads up about your docs advice, think I'll do that too.
Someone talk me off the ledge, 2dpo is far too early to be having symptoms - right? I was unplugging our toastie maker from the wall yesterday and had shocking breast pain. I'm really just a weakling that's managed to pull a boob muscle or something, right?
pomelo / 5228 posts
@ms.janedoe: Sorry, it doesn't look like you've O'd yet! Have you been checking CM still? It might give you some clues as to whether or not its on its way. From what I've seen around here, this is pretty typical for ladies recently off BCP.

Current Cycle Day: 9
Ovulation Day: my guess is somewhere between cd14-cd17.
POAS Day: Feb 18 is when AF is supposed to show.
Cycles Trying: It's been a year.
This is our last cycle before our RE wants to run more tests so we are doing everything we can. Bring on the preseed and BD marathon!

@msjanedoe - Last month was my first cycle post-BC and was 40 days. Super frustrating!
pomelo / 5132 posts
@Ash: you're still on my BFP prayer list! Are you spotting more than one day?
pomelo / 5132 posts
@KJfromNJ: aack! Good luck, lady! I was so excited to get my crosshairs today.
pomelo / 5132 posts
@SweetMamaM: some people have early symptoms, some have none until a BFP. I for one have battled a headache, some nausea, and weird abdominal pain today, and I am 3 dpo!
pear / 1743 posts
Yeah I had a bit of weird cramping this morning too (3dpo), and the bewb pain is still there. I got my hopes up last time though, so just trying to go with the flow this time.
honeydew / 7909 posts
@Mrs. J: it was mainly just one day. Little streaks in my underwear (sorry tmi).
honeydew / 7909 posts
@Mrs. J: Thank you! I hope so! I wish my uterus could whisper me some updates! (& I just noticed I totally wrote little steaks... lol!)
honeydew / 7909 posts
I had plans to bd tonight but because of the icy weather dh just got called into work. boooooooo!
grapefruit / 4862 posts
@Ash: dying LOL at steaks vs streaks. And FWIW I sometimes spot after a lot of DTD... my OBGYN noticed it last time (we may or may not have done it the night before my appt, whoops) and said it's fine.
honeydew / 7909 posts
@KJfromNJ: Bahahah little steaks in my underwear... I was like"omg I hope nobody saw that. That'd be a weird thing to have in my underwear." My spotting isn't from dtd... I don't think.
