Please recommend a fertility-friendly lubricant. Not necessarily looking for a BFP guarantee, rather just comfort.
(Amazon had primarily positive, but mixed reviews for the two brands in the poll; but DH wanted a HB recommendation

We still use preseed even though we are not TTC (LO is 12weeks. Old) bc it's not sticky at all...Feels more natural:)
When we were TTC, I didn't use the applicator thingies- it puts WAY too much in there! We just used as needed straight from the tube bc we found that it doesn't take that much...Good luck!

@blackbird: what did you put it in? I'm just imagining our big bottle of EVO on the nightstand and it's making me giggle. Maybe a little bottle just for BDing? It'd still be less $$ than pre seed, we're out & that stuff's $$$$!

I like the feel of PreSeed and used the applicator, only using about half the amount. Then I realized it has parabens in it. Yuck.
Conceive Plus didn't feel as natural to me. I've never tried Conceivease: http://www.conceivease.com/faqs.php
This one looks the most promising to me (paraben free): http://www.yesyesyes.org/yesbaby.htm
Or go with olive oil! We always have that on hand., and it definitely is the most cost effective solution.

We used preseed, just don't use as much as it says. We used maybe half and it was plenty.

@mrs bird, I bought a teeny little $3 bottle or so from the grocery store! It had like, 4 oz in it maybe? It was cheap and the doctor said it's the most natural and most like your own body's lubricant. We always put a towel down with it, though.
We got the "extra light" kind so it didn't smell like the base to an italian dressing and I didn't mind it on my skin; i just rubbed it in!

We use preseed and really like it. I hate using the applicators but if you're just wanting it for lube, I'd say that'd you would just use it externally.
Yes yes baby gets good reviews but daaaaaaang, that stuff is pricey!!
I've also heard that olive oil is the most natural but I am unfamiliar with it being family-friendly.

We used pre-seed the month we got our BFP. We didn't use the applicator, though, just used it externally.

We used pre-seed and the hubby didn't notice the difference when I used the applicator. Hubby thought it was a little stick if we applied it without the applicator though.

We used pre-seed as well! Feels natural and we got our BFP the month we used it.

We got our bfp the month we used pre-seed. Obviously not sure if that's what led to the bfp, and it was only our second month of TTC.
Just wanted to add the caveat that I ended up having a TERRIBLE reaction to pre-seed that led to the worst yeast infection I've ever had and that refused to improve for over a week. That, despite the fact that I was very careful about showering/cleaning up after BDing, and used way less than the recommended amount of pre-seed. Then again, we got our bfp, so the yeast infection ended up being worth it

I like Conceive Plus simply because the applicators are less "mood-killing" than Pre-Seed. It seems important to me to get it up near the cervix (since it is trying to mimic CM), so an applicator is necessary.

we got a BFP using preseed. just used externally though - no applicator

When we got pregnant, we used no external lubrication, but just the body's own. My OB recommended it to me and worked within a couple of weeks after seeing her.

@hergreenapples: I have always liked Diflucan. What were what your medication options since you were preggers?

@Mrs.Someone: yea, the applicators are a bit of a buzz kill I have only used the applicator before DH came in the room when I knew we were going to BD.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: I wasn't technically pregnant when the infection happened, as it occurred during the TWW. I used my usual remedy, but I think the options we have available in Canada differ from those available in the US.
