Has your baby ever had a fever with no other obvious symptoms? Did it just run it's course or did other symptoms show up?
M has had a fever since Sunday evening but she seems fine other than that. She isn't eating well and is more clingy than normal but she isn't showing any other cold symptoms.

My LO was like that two weeks ago. She had a fever but no other symptoms. She still played and was active and ate pretty well. After the third day of fever, we took her to the pediatrician. She said it looks like Roseola and we will probably see spots on her any day but the fever should go away. She was right and the spots went away after 2 days.

We have had it happen. I usually dont even give her tylenol unless the fever is really high or she's uncomfortable.

@regberadaisy: it's gone up to 102 but this morning at 3am, it was only 101.

Usually when my son had a fever with no other obvious symptoms showing up (bathroom related or vomiting) it was teething.

hm. I was going to say maybe teething but that only goes up to 101. Roseola *might* be a cause like @mynoahbear: said. I honestly don't remember M's symptoms prior to roseola!

LO did this a couple of months ago. 3 days of fairly high temps, but nothing else. We alternated Tylenol and Advil and gave lots of baths. It broke and went away on its own. Still no clue as to what it was.

My LO never gets a fever, but the only times she did, she had an ear infection or pneumonia (I'm assuming yours doesn't have the latter). I hope your LO feels better soon

LO just had Roseola and it was just a fever then a rash occurred a few days later

Could be roseola. T also spikes a fever sometimes before he gets a cold. Fever and then cold symptoms a few days leter.

LO had a random fever a couple of weeks ago when he came home from daycare. He was warm to the touch and we got 100.7, 101, and 100.7 on three different tries, but he was fine otherwise. By the morning, it was completely down and was around 98, 99. He was going through RSV, and an intestinal bug, but he was about a week into the RSV so I was worried it was pneumonia developing, but it never went anywhere. I have no idea!

@mediagirl: This has been going around in my area, the doctor says it's something viral and it runs its course. Hopefully your LO will get over it soon!

We've had this happen a few times. It was roseola one time, and other times it was a virus. Hope she feel better soon!

B had the same thing a few weeks ago. Fever for about 3 days and when it broke he had a rash that cleared up in a few
Days.
