DS is only a week old and we've switched to formula. So far we've just been using my old Medela bottles, but I think they may be making him gassy. I know everyone has a different opinion, but what's your favorite bottle?

We used Dr Brown's with my DD. They're a pain to clean, but we were gifted a bunch of them and she was so colicky that we bought into the claims of less gas.

We've always used Medela, but my kids don't like the Medela nipples. Even the slowest was/is too fast for my kids and causes them to gulp and get a lot of air. We were given Enfamil nipples in the hospital that my kids like better. I believe they are designed to be disposable, but we use them for a month or so at a time, then order new ones from Amazon. Even the medium flow is slower than the Medela ones!

MAM. They have all loved them best. They're not my favorite to put together, but worth it to get a good feed.

Dr Browns and then playtex drop ins or ventair. We switched from DB to P at 4 months!

She used Tommee Tippee for 13 months with no issues. We never had any gas/spit up problems. They're super easy to clean too. When you've got several bottles/day to clean, the fewer parts, the better!

Dr Browns- we used tommee tippee for a while but switched to try and help eliminate gas. Not sure how much it helped but overall we've been very happy with them.

Oh man, we went through 4 kinds of bottles (all had their stages of usefulness) but the ones we sticked with the longest is Dr. Brown's. We combo feed with pumped breast milk and formula. I went with the WIDE NECK Dr. Brown's because its easier to scoop the powder directly into the one bottle and shake it up.
Quick tip - add half a dropper of gas drops to the bottle of water and formula powder - it will instantly pop all the bubbles you get when you shake up the bottle.

We used the Playtex Ventaire bottles. We had Dr. Browns and i hated them with a passion and didn't see the point. The Ventaire are upright bottles and were just easier and less parts for us! Plus we had to feed her upright

We used the Avent Classic and had no spitup or problems. Easy to clean too!

Dd1 used dr Browns but I hated cleaning them. Dd2 uses avent Classic. The avent natural and Tommee tippie did not work for her. She couldn't get a good latch.

We tried the Avent ones, but LO had a tough time feeding with them and they created a huge mess, although I got them on the recommendation of several friends so I know they work really well for others!
Dr. Browns for us - LO had a lot of gas and those seemed to help.
Also, not shaking up the formula to mix it helped with gas too, since shaking adds in air bubbles that can cause gas.

Tommee tippee worked for both of my boys. But I don't think they were excessively gassy and they spit up normal amounts.

We went through a LOT of bottles!! We ended up using Tommee Tippee for the majority of her bottle feedings. We found feeding her sitting up (supporting her fully) was the best way to keep the gas and some spit-up away.

We used Avent (the honey colored ones without the additional ring) and Playtex Ventaire when we travelled.

Before he had his tongue tie sorted, the only bottle he could get anything out of was the Medela Calma. Once that was all taken care of we just used the simple Tommee Tippee bottles, very easy to clean and worked fine.

I hated the dr Browns and my lo didn't care for them either. we went through four brands before finding the two we stuck with: Lansinoh mOmma and Avent.

Dr. Browns were the only ones my DD liked. We tried about 5 different kinds.

@yoursilverlining: instead of shaking the formula, you just stirred with a long spoon?
