LO went eight(!) days without pooping. EIGHT DAYS!! Finally today she pooped and even though I was trying to keep cool about it, I'm so happy she finally went. Happily, it wasn't hard so I know she isn't constipated, but seriously guys, 8 days!

Hardness of poop is not the only indication of constipation! I have been reading a lot of books about poop lately...
Hope her frequency of pooping goes back to normal soon!

haha yay for poop!
Wagon Jr. was a poop machine (4-5 poops a day, at least) so once when he didn't poop for 4 days I was totally freaked out. Then when he finally pooped, we had to throw out the outfit he was wearing. Crazy massive explosion!!!

@mrbee: really? What else should I be watching for (other than hardness?) You are the poop guru around here you know.
I really hope she gets regular again soon. I'm sure it's because we recently started her on solids and she's adjsuting to it.

@prettylizy: I'm no guru! But I actually just arranged to interview a poop doctor specializing in constipation (yes there is such a thing), so I'll be blogging that relatively soon I hope!

@mrbee: I am (weirdly) looking forward to that post!
My LO is 9 months and I think the transition to solids is creating some issues. Twice she's gone a full week without a BM. We're trying to push prunes and pears and limit BRAT food, but I could definitely use more advice/suggestions on keeping her regular.

@pointybird: We changed Charlie's diet and started diluting his (hemp) milk with water, and that really helped him a lot!

Mine went 12 days without pooping once! So stressful!

These kids, I tell ya. As soon as I get sleep figured out (I think... hope I didn't jinx myself) she turns poop into the new hot button issue. If it isn't one thing, it's another!!

Oh man, I just googled about this. I got kind of worried my 10 week old hasn't gone in a few days after going every day at the same time. Everywhere says to watch out when he finally does poop. I am sooo not looking forward to this! For those with experience though. Is it one big poop or a couple big poops all in one day?
