I tried so hard to live without it, and I just can't. I thought for sure since we have a small house and people always lived without it in the past that I could to. But oh how wrong I was.

How fun!!!! Now, that we sleep in the basement, I wonder if a video monitor might be something we give into as well. We have a regular monitor for the nursery.
What model did you get?

I love having a video monitor!!! Definitely worth the money and I use mine all the time. Lots of times she makes some noise and I check on her and she falls back asleep within a few minutes.

FYI, if anyone does get that monitor, it's $25 more at babies r us than it is on amazon.

@artbee: Ours has served us well for over a year, but make sure you keep the original packaging. If you end up getting it and it croaks on you, Amazon has a 1 year return policy! ;D
