Well I think AF will be appearing any minute now, so looks like I won't need to test. A little heartbroken as I felt like this was my month, but onto next month and cycle #3. Good luck you the rest of you, my fingers are crossed for lots of

Has anyone tried acupuncture? I haven't been temping, I'm a little "high strung" and I think temping would cause my anxiety to go through the roof, but next month I'm going to do OPT and have thought about giving acupuncture a try? I really want to try everything possible (minus temping, I'm not ready to add that stress in my life.)

Sorry to everyone with AF arriving and BFNs... I'm bummed for you. Here's hoping we all get next month!!

@Annette: thank you! What does your chart look like?? I like to obsess too!

  5. MrsKRB

    nectarine / 2465 posts

Thank you all I'm super bummed obviously and I have no idea what's going on. I'm young, at a healthy weight, eat well, exercise, and have never had any AF issues. I almost wish I had something to pinpoint because then I could work on that.

@LuLu Mom: I'm so sorry I had hopes for you! I haven't done acupuncture but I'm thinking about it. I think @MrsMccarthy has done it?

  6. MrsMccarthy

    honeydew / 7295 posts

@LuLu Mom: I loved acupuncture. I highly recommend it

  7. MaryM

    pomelo / 5129 posts

@LuLu Mom: I think everyone should do what works best for them, but I actually feel that temping works well for me to stop anxiety. Having the scientific proof that comes with temping stops me from making more ridiculous assumptions about what might be or could be going on with my body.

@KelLeeLeee: I am right there with you in the wondering what's going on camp. I think it might have been easier had we never had the miscarriage, because before then, I was actually starting to accept that I might never get pregnant because of PCOS. But now that I know it can happen, it's even more frustrating that it isn't! For three months in a row, our timing has rated "high" in the FF probability monitor, so what's going on???

I just signed up for a year of VIP service on FF (my 3 month trial ran out). now that I've committed to that non-refundable yearlong service...karma-wise, shouldn't something happen so I don't need it??

@MrsMccarthy: I'm going to call around and see what the cost looks like, our insurance doesn't cover it.

Also, call me clueless but when does implantation bleeding normally happen? I never had it with my first, but is it possible it could be that? AF is due in 3 days, I'm 11 DPO.

  9. yellowbird

    honeydew / 7303 posts

@LuLu Mom: I'm sorry AF is showing up

@KelLeeLeee: it really sucks that there is no rhyme or reason to why it isn't happening. I'm with you that if something was wrong having something to work on helps. I'm hoping next month is your month.

@LuLu Mom: I read that implantation most commonly occurs on 9dpo and it can take a couple days for the bleeding to show up. It would be brown spotting and not red at all.

  10. MrsMccarthy

    honeydew / 7295 posts

@LuLu Mom: you should look for places that allow group treatments or sliding scale. That can save you a ton.

  11. LuLu Mom

    GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts

@yellowbird: Hmmm this is a possibility then, if it takes a couple days, and it is brown. I won't lose all hope yet, but I won't get it up either!

  12. LuLu Mom

    GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts

@MrsMccarthy: I'll see what they say, I'm in a smaller area, so the options are pretty limited.

  13. travellingbee

    hostess / papaya / 10219 posts

@LuLu Mom: I think a little red/pink is fine. But it shouldn't be enough to soak a panty liner. And it can be up to 14 dpo according to mayo clinic.

  14. HappyBluebird

    clementine / 957 posts

@LuLu Mom: I don't have any advice on the acupuncture but I wanted to second what @MaryM said about temping. While its not for everyone, it definitely helped get rid of one thing that caused anxiety (for me at least). It's nice to see the temp rise to show when you really did O with no guessing. Now if only I could get rid of all the other anxiety inducing TTC issues! Best of luck with the acupuncture!!

  15. As Time Goes By

    apricot / 346 posts

@LuLu Mom: I started temping this past month and I can see that since I know roughly when I will O I don't need to do it everyday of the month. I think I actually skipped the day that would have shown I O'd last week because I got out if bed before temping, but it's the overall pattern you look for. It might be worth trying to see what it's like. Hopefully what you have is implantation bleeding so it won't even matter!

    apricot / 346 posts

@KelLeeLeee: I mentioned TTCing to my doctor and she is testing my iron level as she said that is a common reason women don't conceive easily. Is that something that could be going on for you?

ETA: she also suggested cool showers and boxers (not boxer briefs) or commando for DH in the week leading up to O to prevent him shooting blanks

  17. LuLu Mom

    GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts

@travellingbee: right now it's just when I wipe. (WOW TMI for sure sorry...who would have thought I would talk about this stuff to people onilne hahaha)

  18. travellingbee

    hostess / papaya / 10219 posts

@LuLu Mom: Not tmi at all. Do you usually spot before your period? I didn't have spotting with my first at implantation, but a couple weeks later and the doctor said it was still technically IS because he was burrowing in further. It was when I wiped and a little in my underwear, for 3 days. It was brown mostly and sometimes a little peach/pink.

  19. LuLu Mom

    GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts

@travellingbee: usually the day before I can tell it's starting, but never 3 days before. But it's very possibly I'm just getting my hopes up and AF will appear tonight/tomorrow.

@lulumom I lovr acupuncture for stress relief. When I leave I feel like I just had a massage! Re: temping I found it to be stressful (this is my first month) and I would find it hard to go back to sleep on weekends and holidays. I did like the additional info as I felt I knew more about what was happening with my body then previous months where I didn't temp.

I'm on vacation and haven't had a chance to get on much but congratulations to all the BFP, wonderful news!!! And so sorry to all you ladies that AF showed up :(. To you other ladies with BFN, remember you aren't out until AF shows up, hold onto some hope!

I'm sitting at 6DPO and not feeling overly optimistic but my mind hasn't been concentrated too much on it. Was super lightheaded and starving today but who knows what that means.

Thinking of you all, good luck to upcoming testers!
