Did you cry on your child's first day of school? I didn't and I almost feel like a bad mom for not crying. Multiple votes for multiple children.

Both girls started daycare early since we both WOH. I cried with my first but not my second.

No, she's been in daycare since she was 15 weeks old. I didn't even cry then, but probably because she was a colicky nightmare of a baby and my only emotion when dropping her off (screaming) was relief.

My oldest is the only one we've had in any kind of school, but no, I've never cried on his first days. He started daycare at 2.5 years old when I started taking day classes in college, so I guess I was just happy I was able to SAH with him for that long.

I didn't cry when LO started daycare but I did when I had to pick her up early because she was having such a hard time

I cried when DD went back to daycare after being home with me all summer...I realized how big she had gotten, that summer was over, and that even though it was challenging at times we had an amazing summer together with some lifelong memories made. It was also a wake up call that baby #2 would be here anytime and life as we know it would be changed forever !

When he started daycare, I definitely cried because he cried. He moved up a class last week into the preschool room, and he did awesome on his first day, but since, he's been struggling for some reason. Yesterday, he started really crying, and I couldn't help myself. I cried the whole way home. Mainly because I'm pregnant and having my RCS on Monday, so I hate leaving him when I have so little time left with him as my only child.

My little guy (20months) just started daycare for the first time Monday and I thought I'd cry but I ended up not crying. I was plenty sad, nervous and anxious though that I even called at 9 to see if he was ok ahhaha

Not on her first day but a week into it, she went for her first full session (three hours, as opposed to the previous week where the sessions were only an hour) and as I was leaving drop off, the staff handed me a little goody bag. It contained the sweetest little poem, a bag of tea, a packet of Nespresso, a chocolate biscuit, and a pack of tissues - the poem had me crying before I could even get the keys in the door of the car! Other than that though, I've surprisingly been ok!

I cried when I dropped my first at daycare. I cried again a year later when we changed her daycare. And I cried just a few weeks ago when she left that daycare and started school.
Starting school was hard. I cried at meet the teacher, I cried on the first day, and I cried on day 2 when she walked in all on her own.
It's an f'in rollercoaster of emotions!
LO2, I didn't cry dropping her off, but I know I will when it's time to change her to another place.

No, yesterday was her first day in the 2's class. But she cried at pickup b/c 3 hr got a little long for her and she was tired. I did start tearing up last week at orientation when they were discussing all the special events the kids get to do like the Christmas show and moving up ceremony.

I didn't cry, I ran...:)
Only kidding...I was sad on her first day of drop off ballet, which came before preschool, because she cried so hard when I left. But she wasn't upset today at the first day of preschool, and I was excited to give DD2 her first solo music class with mommy ever.
