Do you make/buy signs for your LO's first days of school? We didn't do this last year for 3's preschool, but I'm wondering if I should. We do just take regular photos...

THey are cute and I know there are cheap printables online. I just used a text app and put the words right over the picture. I guess it depends if you want to include a lot of information or have tiny little LO holding something, all responsible- like!

I ordered one from Etsy for $10, I asked my husband if he could make one and he said that he could do it, but it would take him more than $10 worth of time.
I think spending $10 a year is nuts, though, so maybe for next year, I will teach myself how to do it in Adobe or something.

Gah, that would have been perfect, but you know what, I can make that myself if I just leave myself enough time. My handwriting is decent if i am not rushing, so I was thinking I can do paint markers on a piece of black foamcore.

I could make one myself I'm sure. I want to do something but it might just be markers on paper.

@Foodnerd81: it's a little chalkboard one you fill in. it had rainbow colors on it if that helps you identify it! I'm sure you could find a printable on etsy too.

You can just write some text on the pictures that you've taken?
I bought a chalkboard, for a few bucks, that I write on every year.

I use a chalkboard to jot down the first and last day of school.

There's a number of free printables on pinterest... That's what we've used for first/last day. The ones I've downloaded even have all the years in a zip file so you can use them each year and have consistency.

I think the printable ones that you can frame are cute, too!

I don't plan on doing anything for DS until his first day of kinder. -
It's tradition at DS's preschool totake first and last day pics in front of the school's road sign, so I just do that. I'll have to come up with something next year when he starts kindergarten.
