I am 16 months postpartum and still waiting for AF to return (still nursing) . I was pretty sure I ovulated on Tuesday and have had very, very light red spotting since then. Like not even a pantyliner is needed. This is nothing like the horrible, heavy periods my friends have had.
So has anyone had something like this? Google leads me to implantation bleeding which isn't exactly helpful

@Pollywog: HEY GIRL! I could have written this. Mine was EXACTLY like this 16 months PP , but I had stopped nursing like 2 weeks prior It was like a little warning period. I think like 3 weeks later I got a real period, pretty heavy but not toooo bad.

My first PP period after baby 1 was a bloodbath. It looked like a murder happened in my pants. This time, I had the warning spotting like you had for three weeks and now nothing. So I feel like the bloodbath is coming, I just don't know when.

^ This is what mine was like also (and is still a bloodbath after 7-8 cycles). I didn't have any spotting beforehand.

I had the spotting, then a few weeks later I got a real, heavy period and they've been very heavy since. I weaned DD at 16 months, the spotting happened right after that, and the period about a month after weaning.

My first PP period was spotting too, then a real period the next month (13m PP).

Just to update in case someone stumbles on this in the future. I got my real period 5 weeks later and it is as miserable as I was warned it would be. But at least this means we can think about TTC again

@Pollywog: Mine happened exactly after 15 months and it wasn't so bad really, it went on like it use to earlier and required to change around four times a that not more than that.
