What first shoes did you use for your LO? E is starting to take steps, so she'll be walking soon! See Kai Run and Robeez are two that I've been recommended.

Robeez Mini Shoes, not the ones with the suede soles, those are slip city on anything other than carpet.

We used See Kai Run Smallers and they were great for walking and her wide feet.

Robeez! We used ours indoors and out for months, super comfy and easy. He gained a lot of confidence walking in them.

I am loving our Robeez on LO, who is cruising and taking first steps now. He hasn't worn them walking outside yet though. We will probably buy rubber soled shoes for him once that happens.

We did Robeez and they were fantastic! She wore them indoors and out until she got confident. She also had soft-soled Converse.

No answer for you - just chiming in to say that baby shoes are adorable.

LO isn't walking yet, but I bought some SKR smallers for when she does. I've heard great things about them and they are super super cute!

We did Robeez Mini Shoez until he started cruising and then switched to Stride Rite "Step 2: Early Walkers."

Agree with previous posters: SKR smaller or Robeez work best. SKR smaller are better for also being OK to use a bit for those early playground days. Whatever you do, if you are getting suede get a DARK color!

We have one pair of Robeez and I won't say how many pairs of Smaller by SKR. I SKR ones much better. Cuter styles and they seem to fit her better.

We used robeez until he was walking confidently (and if it had been warm weather, we would have stayed with them longer, but they get wet on the bottom easily and it was fall/early winter). We then got a pair of stride rites--I think it's hard to pick a specific brand that you want, I would go get her fitted, as what's really important is how she walks in them. my LO walked way better in his stride rites than in the pair of see kai runs that we tried.

We used Robeez as his first shoes. At one point during the summer, our daycare lady suggested getting him heavier shoes since he was about to be walking full time. After that, he's been in Stride Rite shoes (early walkers).

She's got Robeez now, and as she gets closer to really walking, we're planning to take her to StrideRite for a fitting.

10 months, when he started taking steps on his own, we've taken him to stride rite for a fitting and have one pair of their cruiser/walker shoes.

We started off with a pair of Pedipeds at 12 months old and he has just learned to walk in them! They've been great so far (and super cute too).

DS started off with SKR smallers (and still wears them now) and also wears stride ride boots.
We have a couple more pairs of SKRs for the spring/summer...and a pair of NB sneaks too!

Another vote for SKR smaller! They have held up really well and are so cute. Worked for M as a crawler (mostly for the cuteness factor and to keep her socks on) and now as a walker

@blackbird: Robeez are on Baby Steals today. Just got M the Gracie gray ones. The Harper are also to die for!! But they don't have anymore left in her size.

fabulous, thanks!!!
oh man i don't know what size to get. she's almost 12 months and is wearing 12 m clothing. i guess a couple of each

@blackbird: I'm not sure how they run, but shoes are almost always big on my LO. Not sure if she just has small feet or if most shoes tend to run big.

Ah. Well, her feet are filling out the 12m footie jammies so she must have some big feet like her momma since these are not the soft early walker shoes, I got her the next size up for the summer/fall
I got the Gracie, the Piper, and the Caroline Red
Thanks!
