Do you floss your kids teeth? Do they allow you to floss their teeth? I remember to floss her teeth about once a week. Only a few of her teeth are touching right now so it's not really difficult to do. It's just one more thing to remember.

Yes we do - her teeth are really close together, so the dentist recommended that we start. We use the little flossers for kids.

Her dentist said she has really good spacing so we don't need to floss.

@regberadaisy: I think the ones we have are a store brand (Canadian)...she likes them - they come in a sea horse, dinosaur and some other shape!

@regberadaisy: It's either Life brand or Rexall brand...both drug store brands (Shoppers Drug Mart and Rexall/PharmaPlus).

I don't even floss everyday sooooo....... Maybe when she's older we should start family floss time!

we started to after her 3 year dentist appt. i first had her "floss" herself by getting it between a couple teeth. then started to have her increase the number of teeth (like i'd say "floss 5 more teeth"). now she lets me just do it and doesn't fight it! brushing is another story though...

Yes, LO had cavities between her teeth, so dentist said we need to floss consistently.

Our dentist is really adamant about flossing but she said lo (3)doesn't need it yet because the contacts haven't closed yet. I'm glad we don't have to yet because I can't imagine she'd let us. Dentist recommends those kids flossers linked above.

She's only 2.5 and none of her teeth are touching yet. I suck at flossing, so hopefully when she's older I will train both of us to floss nightly.

Luckily he has a lot of space between his teeth so we don't need to worry about it yet. One tip I heard our dentist give to another parent was to have LO lay with their head on your lap.

DS is 3 and won't let me floss his teeth. Luckily, his teeth don't touch yet.

DS is 2.5 and we don't! Didn't even think to, but I know he probably won't let us. Brushing is already a bit of a struggle shoo!!

DS (3.5) - a couple of times. The dentist said the only ones we need to worry about right now are the molars since they're touching. So we will just focus on those.
DD (1.5) - Almost nightly I floss between her bottom front two teeth because they are slightly crossed and I can see food get stuck in the tiny little pocket.

We've used the floss sticks 2-3x a week since he was 2.5. I think we started young enough that it was "fun" and now it's just a habit that he tolerates. I cuddle him like a baby & have him lean his head back with a wide open mouth. He came up with the idea of him being a "puppy", so it's like a little game where I tell him how good his puppy teeth are and he barks at me. My kid is weird.
