Hey there,
I've gotten the chance to go to an awesome conference in Atlanta in April, but I'll be about 26 weeks pregnant. Everything I've read says that its probably okay to fly then, but does anyone else have an opinion?
Have you headed away on vacation while pregnant?Am I crazy for attempting it, or okay?

I flew from London to St Louis and back at 24 and 28 weeks. It was fine.

My midwife said if everything was normal, no complications, up until the airlines would stop me is fine (34 plus weeks, I think). How long of a flight is it for you? You'll probably feel a little more squished in coach and be a little more tired.

@Foodnerd81: I think its a 4 hour flight, so not crazy. I'll just have to get an aisle seat to stretch my legs (and pee a million times)

I think you'll be fine. I drove for 15 hours at 26 weeks and survived! You'll just need to get up and stretch a bunch

I flew on 3 different flights before the end of my first trimester. I was pretty nervous about it, but it turned out fine.

I flew to San Diego from Boston at 22 weeks and was okay...didn't get any swelling, my back just hurt after awhile. I tried to get up every hour to use the restroom so it gave me an excuse to walk a little.

Yeah, I flew around then, and for thanksgiving, so I had to deal with all the other people, too. Get an aisle seat so you can get up and stretch and walk around a lot...you'll remember to do it, because you'll have to pee, too. Bring water, and drink as much of it as you can deal with. And leave extra time! You won't get through the long airport walks like you used to

I was 30 weeks along when we flew from Honolulu to London with a stopover in SFO (5 hour flight) then non-stop to LHR (10 hour flight) for the Olympics. I was really big for how far along I was but everything went well. I had to get up and walk up and down the aisles every so often for circulation. I'm sure you'll be fine!! Have a wonderful time!

I flew up to CT from BWI for Christmas and I was 27 weeks - it wasn't horrible. Like @jessibee said - get an aisle seat and you'll be fine

My doctor told me technically she would authorize me to fly until 34 (which I felt was too late) but said conservatively 30 weeks is totally safe so long as you're having an uneventful pregnancy. Also, you have to get up every hour and walk around and drink LOTS of water.

i flew at 28 weeks cross country and it was perfectly fine. my tailbone was sore, but i got an inflatable cushion and that helped a lot.

I flew at 27 weeks and sat next to a lady who was 30 weeks! You should be fine unless there are other complications.

I flew from Seattle to Chicago round trip at 34/35 weeks for my sister's wedding. If there aren't any other issues, you should be just fine.

Yup assuming all is ok it should not be a problem. I've flown at all stages of pregnancy and 26 weeks is still a decent time.

I flew cross country at 31 weeks with no issues. I was a little tired and cramped, and I made sure to take advantage of priority boarding so I didn't feel rushed.
