I'm finding it very difficult to eat as healthy and frequently as I think I should be while breastfeeding. My biggest issues are lunch and snacks. I rarely can fit in a snack and lunch ends up being a quick leftover slice or two of pizza or whatever I can shove into my mouth. DS is 3 weeks old and nursing every hour to 2 hours, 20 to 45 minutes per session, and I have to use both hands because I'm large chested so I have to support his head with one hand and my breast with the other.
I really need to be eating better things for him, myself, and my supply. What can I be doing differently? I just don't have the time to cook anything or put together a healthful salad, etc., like I once would have. The second I put him down he's been waking up crying within 5 minutes and honestly taking the time to put on and get him into the moby wrap seems exhausting, too. DH works during the day so he can't make me anything.
Ideas, recipes, strategies, etc.?
