How often did you go, and did you try to schedule the appointments at any particular point in your cycle? Thank you!

I did. I was actually going for anxiety at the time. I went weekly. I asked the acupuncturist if they could add in fertility treatments. The first week he started happened to fall right before ovulation. I got pregnant that month with DS2.

I was going for nerve damage in my lip from wisdom tooth removal, as well as ttc. She had me come every two weeks.

I did acupuncture for TTC and had a really positive experience once I found the right acupuncturist. I went once a week but the first place I went just let me book appointments whenever I wanted to. The second place I went actually wanted to see me at certain points of my cycle - generally more frequently during the follicular phase and less frequently during the luteal phase. I went the same number of times in a month but if we were expecting that I would be ovulating soon, she might try to see me on Wednesday and Saturday and then not as frequent later on in my cycle. She also gave me herbs to take and would adjust depending on where I was in my cycle and how she thought I was responding based on my BBT chart. Basically, the first place was like booking to go to a spa appointment and the second place (where I found the most success) was studying my chart, giving me diet rules to follow, giving me herbs that changed every week, and telling me when she needed to see me. It was a huge time commitment but I wholeheartedly attribute the fact that I'm sitting here 38 weeks pregnant to this lady. Good luck!

I should note that I was probably a "tougher" case since I'd been diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve so egg quality was a concern for me. I needed help figuring out how to improve egg quality. Nothing happened when TTC for 6 months before acupuncture and then I ended up pregnant 3 times in the following 8 month period while doing acupuncture (2 losses and then one sticky baby).

i actually was seeing an acupuncturist for back pain, and then ended up pregnant while seeing her! i continued seeing her through my first trimester and switched my therapy to prevent miscarriage (she specialized in infertility).
prior to that we'd had 2 miscarriages on clomid and iui. i was seeing her once a week and got pretty close to her because we were part of this female entrepreneur group. she had helped so many women get pregnant when ivf had failed. i am such a believer in acupuncture because it also got rid of my migraines when nothing else worked, and i ended up having charlie after 2 miscarriages!

I was going three times a week, but I was doing it in concert with IVF. Find an acupuncturist who specializes in fertility and they'll tell you when to come in.

I've been going to an acupuncture community clinic for about a month now. The acupuncturist doesn't specialize in fertility, but she knows that it is something I want to work on so she does a couple points for that during my treatment. I will say that after my first session I ovulated earlier than normal and I had more cervical mucus and even had some ovulation bleeding (very minor, like I probably would've missed it if I wasn't looking). I don't know if this was from the acupuncture or just a coincidence. I didn't get pregnant that cycle. I was told to give it about 3 cycles to start working, so I'm going to keep going until at least December. If anything, it is extremely relaxing.

I was going once a week for stress/anxiety and then when we were ready to TTC she did more focused treatments based on wherever I was in my cycle (meaning, my appts weren't timed for any particular day or anything). I got pregnant the first month we tried.

I only got 24 sessions under my insurance so I went once every 2 weeks and if I was doing an IUI, I went right before and after.

@bluestriped bee: Thank you! I wish my insurance would help pay, though fortunately I found a community place with good reviews that is relatively affordable.

I went to one who specializes in fertility. The first session was just whenever I was ready since my cycle still hadn't returned postpartum. After that she told me when to come based on symptoms and cycle. I ovulated after the second session.

I started going to a fertility acupuncturist about 2 months ago. I would see her every 10 days or so, skipping the time around AF. Other than fertility, she also focused on my anxiety. I got my bfp this week. Not sure if acupuncture is related but it did make me feel very relaxed. I'm going to continue it through my first trimester

@BeatlesFan629: Congrats!!! That's awesome!
I could definitely use more help with relaxation, so even if it doesn't help in my case with TTC, seems like it will still be a good experience....
