You guys! I am so obsessed with Framebridge. So far I've ordered 5 pieces for my house. It feels so good to get photographs on my walls. Custom framing has always been so expensive and I don't love canvas. I also have recently started selling my photography in a gallery and have had everything printed there, it's all gorgeous.
I'm getting a piece that is 40" wide including the print, frame, shipping everything and it was $120 with a coupon code.

Ooo, thanks for that, I will check them out! I have a bunch of neat old b&w landscapes of national parks that a great uncle took in the 50s & 60s. I've always wanted to frame them and hang them in our upstairs hallway, but it is SO expensive, and because they are an odd size (16x20) I've had trouble finding something on the shelf.

so, maybe you can help me understand framebridge a bit better...it seems SOOOO expensive to me.
I guess if I was taking stuff to a boutique custom frame shop, then framebridge would be cheaper. But 90% of what I frame is a standard size, so I just buy a nice frame with a mat. And the other 10% I order a custom mat online, which is stupidly expensive but still cheaper than framebridge.
I keep hearing that framebridge is awesome and cheap, but they wanted $80 to frame a standard size picture for me. 
That said, the picture you shared looks pretty!

@MrsLonghorn: I think it makes the most sense for large format. I would not frame an 8x10 there. But for a custom frame shop this is a good alternative. Not to say I don't love mom and pops I just can't afford it for pieces that are 3 feet across.
For my 40 inch piece the print alone could be $40-60.

@MediaNaranja: yes you can send in items and if you request it a designer can sugesst frames and mattes based on your feedback.

@youboots: I ordered a framed (small) picture of my son for both sets of "don't spend money on me" grandparents for Christmas, they were $33 each! They're such a great company.

@lctbqe: apparently i just picked the wrong options - I would totally pay $33 for a nice framed picture, but mine said $80....

@youboots: I like the way you had your pictures attached to the molding/ wall. Can you link to what you used?
In our old house I used fishing wire and small planter hooks to hang a picture from the ceiling against a tiled wall. In our current house I want to do something similar to break up an oversized mirror that spans a double vanity, but I am sure there is a better way to do it.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: I just used a picture molding hook and picture wire. We had our walls repaired and added crown molding in the picture molding because the walls are plaster

@Greentea: you have to play around a little bit with the dimensions. I think something with the longest side up to 20 inches is $100 but between 20 and 36 Is $139. They do 15% off the first order. It's also all finished on the back with hanging hardware.

Thanks for sharing! I need to check this site out. I typically buy canvas prints, but my husband was saying that he prefers framed prints, so this could be a good alternative.

@hellobeeboston: you can upload a file and they print it for you. I'm a photographer and picky and their prints are great.
