I'm a teacher and I will be pumping at work 2x a day while my students are at specials and at lunch. I can pump in either my "back room" (like a bigggg walk-in closet, 10ft by 15ft) or my classroom. Both have locking doors with windows I can cover. The backroom gives me the extra protection of "another" door just in case.
I've started thinking more and more about the logistics of pumping at work and realizing some unanticipated complications, and I'm wondering if you all can help me understand how it all "works."
I bought a Simple Wishes hands-free bra, because it's recommended so many places. But the more I think about it, the more it seems complicated.... Like, the SW bra is really lumpy, so I couldn't wear it as a normal bra. So, in order to pump, I'd have to take off my shirt AND my normal bra, zip the SW bra on, pump, package up/label/store the milk; take off the SW bra, and then get re-dressed...... what a headache! And not to mention, totally awkward-feeling, sitting there half-naked. With the freemie system, I could seemingly stay at my computer & slip the cups in & out, pour, and store.
Am I over-thinking this? If you used either system, what are your thoughts?
I have a Medela PISA already, I'm just holding back on buying the Freemie cups (which attach to the Medela) because they're $60 and I'm a little tired of all the money I've already spent on breastfeeding/pumping gear.
