If you pump, how much do you have stashed in your freezer at any one time? Also, how quickly do you cycle through that milk?

I'm just starting my stash, so I only have about 20 oz in the freezer. I've only had them for about a week. I'm trying to pump enough that I can leave LO with 15 oz of milk for when I'm at work, plus her sitter can defrost a bag if needed.

I don't know how much I have in the freezer. I used to have an extensive Excel chart but that got too crazy. LO gets frozen (mixed with fresh) on Mondays and on rare occasions when I'm going out or haven't pumped enough. Last I checked I had enough for a month, just for her day time bottles when I'm at work, not the full day.

I probably have like 60-70 oz. I need to start cycling through it tho. I'm a little worried to though because I have excess lipase in my milk and I have no clue if he'll drink that old milk.

I have 80-100oz I think, but stopped pumping about 2 months ago...and haven't used but maybe 4 oz in the past 2 months.

@Bao: oh, you should use it soon! They're only good up to 3 months I think.
Oops, sorry, it's good for 6 months!

I had a lot...I think over 1000 but I stored it in a deep freezer so it lasts longer. I'm almost finished with my stash!

@regberadaisy: I know I really need to do something with it soon regardless, she isn't a real big fan of the bottle so I will probably donate it.

I have about 225 oz.
I pull down 2 bags every Sunday to use on Monday at daycare. I use fresh milk all week. On Fridays I put whatever extra I have in bags to freeze. This seems to be working pretty well and I feel like I'm cycling through enough. I haven't had any supply issues yet though. I am running out of freezer space so we may have to max out at around 250-275 oz max in the freezer at once.

@CarrieLouWho: I think that is what type of schedule I would like to adopt. I feel like if I start out the week with a "leg up" I will have a bit more flexibility. I currently only have about 40oz of frozen milk and would like to start cycling through it.

Does anyone have any tips on how to "get ahead" with pumping? I am drinking lots of water, taking Fenugreek, and eating enough extra calories and seem to only be able to produce just what he needs at daycare. I would like to try to add a middle-of-the-night pumping session but it's been too hard to do that this week, my first week back at work.

The article in this post was helpful for me. http://boards.hellobee.com/topic/breastfeeding-magic-number#post-182874
I had to increase the number of times I pumped in a day in order to produce enough milk for E's bottles. Also, are you doing breast compressions while you pump and hand expressing afterwards? Those two simple things have really helped me in the last few weeks when my supply took a hit after being sick.

@kiddosc: Great advice. I am not doing compressions or hand expressing afterwards but will look into that. Somedays I am like a milk factory and others I can hardly make enough to get by. It's almost become a game to me, to see how much I can produce, so this is particularly helpful.

@Meggo5 - It's been working great for us - I've been back to work for a month now. I like that I'm cycling through the milk and can still build my stash so when we wean I can extend her on breast milk.

I have eh...maybe 80oz in there? I don't use it unless I have to. When I wanted to add more to it, I would just add a session before bed or after feedings on weekends. I'm pretty bad at adding to it, though now that I'm making just enough for her daily and breastfeeding when we're together.

I have around 4000 oz in there. I don't use them at all because my LO only drinks freshly pumped milk. I store the extra milk in the freezer just because they're too precious to throw away. I will donate my milk stash to the milk bank soon though.

I have 120 bags of 6 oz each. So 720 oz! I have a deep freezer. The earliest bags are from September so as soon as February is over, I will start to use the oldest bags.
