Help ladies!
I got a squinter in a dollar store cheapie, took a FRER 2 days later with second morning urine (the day AF would be due).
I took another FRER (whyyyyy?) 2 days later (so AF is now 2 days late) with first morning urine and the line is no darker. So I'm guessing if I had used fmu the first time, it would actually be lighter the second time.
Help! Any advice? Positive/negative stories?

I wouldn't worry. It took several days to actually see mine darker (and I'm. 16 weeks now). It's really not what it's meant to do. It's still positive and that's all you can know for now!

I didn't test again. That would have been much smarter this time. But I bought a 2-pack of FRERs and I couldn't help myself.
And I know worrying doesn't change anything, but it still sucks!

Yeah I freaked myself out by testing two days in a row and thought I was having a chemical when I wasn't because it didn't get darker. I'm 24 weeks now! The best thing you can do is wait and know that you are pregnant. There's nothing you can do either way, so just enjoy it.

I wouldn't be worried. I have two babies and I've personally never had a FRER line show up any darker than what you just posted.

It took mine forever to get darker too. I was suitably freaked out and it turned out fine. I want to say it was close to a week before there was a significant difference. Fingers crossed for you! Congratulations!

Thanks ladies! I know I should just enjoy it and not think negatively! Worrying isn't going to change the outcome anyway. Last night I googled (big mistake!) and read lots about chemicals/mc's. Sigh.
I'm thinking maybe next week I'll take another test because by that time it should definitely be darker. That's probably a bad idea too!

@QBbride: I think as long as it's not getting lighter or goes away you are fine.

@BandDmommy: well it was not any darker but the first test was with smu and my second test was with fmu. So I'm thinking if they were both with fmu then it might have been lighter.
I know it's best not to speculate though!

Still positive! Definitely don't worry. 
If you wanted to, you could probably get a beta drawn...but otherwise hang in there and be optimistic!

I've personally seen it go both ways. Last time it got lighter and it was a chemical. This time it got lighter and I was convinced it was another loss and I'm now almost 12 weeks. Unfortunately you can't do anything either way. Good luck!

I'm with the PPs. I tested several days in a row, and on the second day my test even looked lighter than the first day, and everything turned out fine. I am now almost 17w, and all is well.
FWIW, I've seen some ladies get SUPER dark lines quickly, and then have a MC, and I've seen other ladies have light lines and successful pregnancies.
This is not to say I wouldn't be nervous, because I totally get it, but try to stay calm.

Well, I started bleeding at 5w. I took a pg test the next morning and the line was super light, like as light as when I first took the test 
I called my midwife and she offered me an u/s, but I'm hoping my body takes care of it itself. The good news is she said we didn't have to wait to try again.

@QBbride: sorry to hear your news. It is likely unrelated to the light tests you got originally. I had light lines but high #s on my betas. Best of luck when you try again & get your next BFP.

Thanks ladies. Everyone around here is always really supportive. I had a feeling right from the beginning that something wasn't quite right, it just seemed too good to be true. Focusing on all the positive things in my life right now, I have a lot to be thankful for.

@QBbride: I'm so sorry. Just went through this w a cp at 4w1d. Af lasted a day longer and I was more crampy than normal but my ob gave us the ok to ttc this cycle as well. All the hugs for the roller coaster of emotions you're feeling!
